Hi, I'm Fran, owner and floral designer at The Bloom Room and Joseph is my gorgeous boy. He's 10 now, and we've spent the last 6 years learning as much as we can about MPS, specifically San Filipo Syndrome, the type Jo has. It was just recently and I wanted to take this opportunity to encourage other parents who have received this diagnosis for their child.
You are not alone. You have the power to push back on this illness and its symptoms. Don't lose hope, and don't be afraid to look for and speak to other parents in your position - sometimes an understanding ear makes a world of difference.

But there are some good reasons you should resist the grocery store flowers and opt for your local florist instead 1. Lifespan - flowers from the grocery store will start to droop and wilt very quickly, whereas most flowers from a professional dedicated florist can hold their heads high for weeks. This is because of the specific processes followed by florists to prepare flowers for a great consumer experience.
