Help the boat float!

Creating music for you is a wonderful and rewarding experience, but it can also be quite costly, especially for self-managed and independent artists.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me gain more visibility by sharing my music with your friends and family, and by adding me to your playlists on streaming services such as YouTube, Instagram, Spotify, and Apple Music.

If you would like to support me further, I have included a link where you can make it happen.

GRACIAS ♥️✨️

It’s amazing how passionate music lovers and festival-goers are in the UK about climate action!

In Scotland, TRNSMT Festival invited Music Declares Emergency for the first time, and 1,329 new members of joined the movement 🤯

They know artists are the pied pipers for change. Well done and so fun!

It’s🌍another🌍MDE🌍Monday.

‘Fashion Takes Action’ is a non-profit that was established in 2017 to advance sustainability in the fashion system through education, awareness, research, and collaboration. A recent collab has been with Music Declares Emergency Canada, working with musicians to think innovatively about their merch.

Now is a good time to think about your own band shirts and festival merch, use the circularly to repurpose your old loves and talk to festival organizers on earth-friendly ways to create new loves 🍃👕🌍❤️

✨Artist Spotlight✨
Tonight 🌊RisingTide’s Dayna Manning flew from NS to Ontario to get ready for her sing/along with her Folk Army in the Stratford Market. A kick-off to the Stratford Market Concert Series that coincidentally JUNO award-winning artist Dayna Manning also produces 😅

What is the Folk Army, you ask? Dayna Manning founded FolkArmy.ca in 2016 in Stratford as an instructional guitar and singing studio. It has transformed from a traditional music program to a full-fledged community movement for students to gather, get engaged and involved, and share in their love of music ❤️

GOOOO City of Stratford as you genuinely and actively support Dayna Manning and ALL AGES 🔥

This weekend 🌊RisingTide’s Maude Sonier will be performing at a new festival in Moncton ‘Miroir/Mirror’.

The festival kicks off with the showing of the film “Deep listening: The Story of Pauline Oliver”. An iconic composer, performer, teacher, philosopher and pioneer as one of the world’s first female electronic musicians!

🌎🎶🎶🌎🎶🎶🌎🎶🎶🌎

It’s festival season and a wonderful time to talk about the impact that festivals can have on the environment. Research has shown that the greatest impact on the climate is actually made through audience travel 🚗💨

As we all know, Nova Scotia has a near non-existent regional transportation system to help music lovers venture to music festivals. So festival goers will be hitting the road themselves until the powers-that-be are interested in supporting such innovative 🚎💨 climate-friendly travel.

In the meantime, festival organizers could lead with some ideas from and their work :

FESTIVALS
🍃Reduce/Eliminate single-use plastics
🍃Work with vendors on moving the needle toward waste reduction
🍃Supporting artists who have Green Riders
🍃Using the festival’s platform to talk about any or all these forward-thinking initiatives during the festival, and give our planet a hug.

Collaboration is the key, which has always been the hallmark of a great festival.

And that’s a wrap. The end of a season. Daniel Champagne knows how to leave us wanting more and collectively holding our breath with every wild note!
Thank you ❤️ Daniel Champagne
We also thank our surprise guest Christina Martin for knocking the audience out of their seats . . . and rushing for tickets to her album release extravaganza on September 6!!!

🌊RisingTide’s anchor artist ✨Kelsey Arsenault✨ is doing something pretty creative right now in Newfoundland. She’s heading into nursing homes (using her music therapist background) to engage with folks living with dementia. Making music and using music that has been meaningful in their lives.

are also the innovators who repurposed a school bus into a roving arts centre for enthusiasts of all ages!
