🎉 HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT! 🎉

We're thrilled to share some incredible news that will shape the future of curling in Nova Scotia and beyond! 🥌✨

The Province of Nova Scotia has announced a monumental investment of $3 million towards our new facility in Timberlea! 🏗️🎊

This generous grant, announced by Danielle Barkhouse, MLA for Chester-St. Margaret’s, on behalf of Allan MacMaster, Minister of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage, will propel us towards our goal of creating a modern, accessible hub for curling enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds! 🌟

Tim Guest, President of the Mayflower Curling Club, expressed his excitement, saying, "The Mayflower is excited to build a larger, state-of-the-art facility in HRM that will benefit competitive curlers from across Nova Scotia, as well as allow the Mayflower to grow the sport by making curling accessible to individuals from all ages and backgrounds."

With a total project cost of $22 million, this funding represents a significant milestone in our journey towards realizing this vision. The new facility will not only be the new home of the Mayflower Curling Club but also serve as a recreational hub for the entire community, attracting visitors from far and wide! 🏡🌍

We're immensely grateful to the Province of Nova Scotia for their unwavering support and commitment to promoting physical activity and healthy living for all Nova Scotians. Together, we're shaping a brighter future for curling in our province! 💪🍁

👣 The Barefoot Draw to the Button Challenge was a blast! 🎉

Team Pembleton sure knows how to host a fun fundraising event. Cheers to everyone who participated and supported a great cause.

There was also a cross the rink button draw challenge where curlers had to throw from Sheet 6 on the diagonal to score on the Sheet 1 button!

🌟 We're spotlighting some of our dedicated curlers who fully embraced the Carnival theme during our closing weekend festivities! 🎪⛸️

From playing with older brooms and rinkrats to dodging benches on the ice, they tackled every obstacle with enthusiasm and flair. And let's not forget the challenge of playing with guards installed in the middle of the ice, using junior's rocks, and even playing with the hack right in the middle of the action!

Now that's what we call curling with style and spirit! 🥌🎉
