Potted Plants 🌱 – you can rent potted plants and return them afterward to avoid single-use flowers. You can also give your guests something they can take home and grow, as a keepsake from the day.
Local Blooms 🌷 – Support local farmers by choosing flowers that are in season and grown nearby. This helps reduce carbon footprints and ensures you’re getting the freshest options.
Repurpose 🌻– Get creative with your florals throughout the day. For example, a floral piece on your ceremony arch can be moved behind the head table, or you can reuse centerpieces for the reception.

Before diving into wedding planning, take the time to relish in the joy before you get bogged down with checklists and decisions.
When you are feeling ready - here is where to start:
Set a Budget: Not the most fun part, but trust me, it’ll make everything else easier—venue, vendors, you name it.
Guest List: Start with a big list, then trim it down to fit your budget and venue size. Communication is key, especially with family dynamics!
Once those are locked in, you’re ready to:
Pick Your Date & Venue: Choose your season, vibe, and a venue with enough space for your guest list. If it’s outdoor, always have a weather backup plan.
Starting to plan early means that if needed, you can take breaks from planning when it's not feeling like fun and come back to it later.
Above all, don’t forget to take time with your partner to appreciate the journey. The engagement is part of the celebration, too!

We do a lot as wedding coordinators but there are a few things on the "what we don't do" list. If you are also a wedding coordinator, what are some of your don't dos?
Here are mine -
I don't charge for rehearsal dinners - this is a prime opportunity for me to meet your wedding party/family and go over any last minute details/questions for your day.
I don't control the music - I am wearing many hats the day of but the music is best to be assigned to someone where this is their main role for the day (a trusted person, DJ or band).
I don't put on chair covers or hang lightning - it is best to inquire with your rental company about having them set this up because they have more staff available for chair covers and hanging lighting. This is a big job and requires many hands!
