My name is Danielle van Werkhoven and I am a wedding and engagement photographer located in Kitchener/Waterloo, ON. I graduated from Ryerson University : Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and have since started building my business of capturing everyone’s unique moments of love, success and happiness. A little less formal topics, my hobbies include photography (obviously, but add a little spice with film), houseplants (I have over 150) and embroidery. I spend lots of time outdoors and am obsessed with travel and hiking up mountains I have no business hiking up with my physical stamina. I would consider myself an ‘Extroverted Introvert’ meaning I am great in crowds and getting to know new people but I love my downtime with my family, friends and partner and even alone time (most of that being editing and gushing over all my gorgeous clients photos). I’ve watched Grey’s Anatomy more times than I can count and I’ve been told on more than one occasion I need to talk quieter because my voice carries through any open or closed space way too easily. I have 7 tattoos with plans to add to my collection. when I find something that resonates with me deeply and impacts me from within. All of that adds up to exactly what you see above: Me! I am a vibrant and loud Aries Sun and Moon at heart with a soft and gooey centre that’s here to fall in love with your love story, and a Libra rising to make sure my aesthetic and perfection shine through in your images. There’s no combination of words I could write down to express how excited I am to capture such a close friends love this coming summer. Collecting rocks and seaglass on the beach and dancing under the sunset glow is the absolute perfect session in my books. Would you believe me if I said these photos were taken in March? 2025 is a snowy fever dream so far and I’m ready to escape into spring sooner rather than later
