Wedding planner REAL TALK 👈🏻

It’s not often I am vulnerable online but tonight, I feel the need to be. Here goes…

Running a business is hard. Running a wedding planning business is harder. As planners, we are here to relieve you of your stress. Talk you down when you spiral into a sea of worries. We make sure all your hard work planning comes to fruition on your wedding day. But who listens to us when we start to spiral over the stress of all our weddings combined? When we lose sleep over our work. It can feel isolating to carry this weight. Don’t get me wrong, i thrive under pressure. I am a natural born problem solver. I want to take your stress away. I’m not content until I know you feel at ease.

All this to stress the importance of having outlets to manage our own anxieties. For me, it’s talking to other business owners in my circle who can relate. It’s doing yoga and disconnecting. I really try to lean into the fact that I am not alone. The feelings will pass and the wedding days WILL be beautiful!

Hi👋🏼, my name is Tina Lesyk. The face behind . It’s me who replies to your emails/dm’s. Me who plans/carries through your weddings📋. Me who design/builds your balloon garlands 🎈. Me who bartends your events🍹. Me who built this business and created my own employment🍍💙. I guess one can say, I wear a few hats!

I grew up in Ridgeway, ON and have spent over half my life in the maritimes. I guess you can say I’m an honorary maritimer ⚓️

Now for the fun part. Who can guess the two truths and a lie? Comment with your best guess!
1. I’ve travelled to 10 different countries.
2. I served two different members of the British Royal family.
3. I’ve planned well over 1000 events/weddings.

L&M had some of the most thoughtful touches for their “breakfast for dinner” inspired wedding 🍳🥓🥯. Not only did guests get to enjoy all the bacon their hearts desired, they got to take home everything bagel spice, colour while waiting their turn for the buffet, got to sip on a signature cocktail and leave a Polaroid note in their guest book.

Oh and the confetti poppers were brilliant! No mess since the streamers stay attached to the pocket!🎊

K&A planned a two day wedding celebration last August.
Day 1 : exchanging vows in front of their loved ones at Sullivan’s Pond. Guests who travelled from Toronto, The Netherlands and a Bride from Berlin! They were determined to get married outside. I should mention, this was August 5th, a day of flash flooding in NS. We set up outside and hoped for the best. Didn’t the sky clear and day turned around just in time for their guest arrival ⛅️

Day 2: was a brunch and dance at the Casino Nova Scotia

We loved being a part of their celebration and witnessing their love and meeting their families 🏳️‍🌈💕

A little about yesterday…

Heather and Mitch had a beautiful outdoor wedding planned on Mitch's parent's lakeside property. Yesterday they got rain. Hard rain. All day. They also got a beautiful outdoor wedding, thanks to the hard work of all their cheerful friends and the amazing wedding vendors that hustled to keep everything on track during the almost constant downpour that was yesterday. Tina of Pineapple Eventworks floated through the crowd making sure things got DONE in the most calm and professional way. Cocoa Pesto Catering hustled to get the buffet ready, took care of the hungry crowd and the food was delicious.
Thank you so much, Heather and Mitch, for making me feel appreciated and valued. I loved spending the (rainy) day with you and your fabulous friends!
