Happy 5th birthday to my favourite dude, my nephew Alek! 🥳 This year's request from the birthday boy was a strawberry 🍓 and blueberry 🫐 cake with pineapple curd 🍍 filling, all "powered up" with a video game theme 🎮 This was a sweet cake for a very sweet kid 🤩 At least Alek & his buddies burnt off some of the sugar high at Little Monkey's Playground 🙊

I love baking for fundraisers 😊 It's usually for a fun event but this night was heartbreaking for so many. Tragedy struck as a result of drunk driving and in a split second, lives were changed forever. The community came together in a matter of days and raised $21,000 in an outpouring of support. My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this terrible tragedy 😔🙏❤️‍🩹

It's always exciting to chat with my baking idol, pastry chef Anna Olson 🩷. She is so friendly and as sweet in person as she is on TV 🤩. Anna and her husband Chef Michael were at Two Sisters Vineyards for the signing of her newest cookbook "Baking Wisdom" which contains over 100 delicious recipes and all the essential info needed to amp up your baking game! 🎂🍪🍩🧁🥧🍞🥐🥨🍰

While in Niagara-on-the-Lake, mom & I had to pop in to the cute shops for a few tasty treats and to pick up a jar of peach jam from our friends' Gail's Gourmet Jams 🍑

Power UP! Fun with family & friends and the Super Mario brothers ❤️💚 for my nephew Alek's 4th birthday party! 🥳 As requested by the birthday boy, this cake is made with fresh strawberry puree, blue"berry" vanilla frosting and filled with a tangy homemade mango curd 🍓🫐🥭 I also just had to add a chocolate fountain to the dessert table 😉 Happy bday, little dude!

What is going on out there?! Are there some sort of special cows helping to make butter these days?! 😆 All kidding aside, prices are through the roof on everything. When you place an order the cost, by default, will increase. One thing, however, is I will NEVER compromise quality.

Everything I bake is still made with the best ingredients...pure vanilla, whole eggs, fresh fruit, and none of the garbage fillers that are found in many commercial baked goods. Hey Habibi!! (a beautiful Arabic term of endearment 😊). This orange-saffron cake is inspired by my friend and excellent Egyptian Pastry Chef Ragab 🤩 Scented with warming cinnamon & cardamom, this cake is filled with naturally sweet dates and frosted with a vanilla, cardamom & saffron buttercream.
