Wedding budgets: let’s talk about it. When we first started in the wedding and event space a decade ago, vendors talking about pricing openly wasn’t really a thing. Now, seeing vendors being more transparent about pricing on social media feels like a breath of fresh air...until you start reading the comments full of people arguing, which honestly made us a little hesitant to make a post like this.

There are hundreds of different factors that go into a wedding budget and nuances that one instagram post cannot capture. These numbers are true for us and our clients, in the higher end wedding space we work in. Again, there is no “wrong budget”. Your wedding can be incredible for under 50k or for over 150k.

We just recently added our base package pricing to our website after reading a post from (an awesome wedding planning coach in the industry) that said, “Having your prices on your website helps make sure that your dream clients are the ones inquiring with you.” This really resonated with us and changed our perspective on being open about pricing.

If this seems way too overwhelming and you need some help staying on budget, a wedding planner (cough cough) could definitely help you out with that 👀🖤

Wedding planners CANNOT start coordinating your wedding day while it is happening. In order to familiarize ourselves with your wedding plans and ensure your day runs smoothly, we NEED to be involved in the final weeks leading up to your wedding day! ✨ Why? Well... If a planner simply showed up on the morning of your wedding, they would be asking you one million questions: Who are your other vendors? What is each of their contact information? Who is your wedding party, who is your maid/person of honour? Who is our contact person for the venue? Where even is the venue? Do you have a set timeline? What personal items need to be set up? You see what we mean. We don’t sell perfect weddings, we sell a low stress day and planning process. In order to do that, we need to know more about your wedding that anyone else! 👏 So, while day of coordination does NOT exist, packages such as “month of coordination” or “wedding day management” that start 6 weeks before your day DO exist, and are essential if you’re looking to actually enjoy every moment of your wedding day! 🖤✨

The biggest reason to hire a wedding planner? ✨ Someone who is not suited for that role will end up doing the work on your wedding day. Who, you might ask? ❕ YOU, while trying to enjoy your day. ❕ Your parents, family, wedding party or best friends, while trying to celebrate with you. ❕ Your photographer or other vendors, while trying to do their own jobs. ✨ While not everyone needs a wedding planner for the full year leading up to their wedding, having a wedding planner manage your day is essential. We promise, you don’t want to be answering countless questions from guests, vendors and the venue staff, communicating any little change to everyone involved, putting out fires when things go wrong, worrying about every tiny detail, or WORKING at all on your wedding day. ✨ Hiring a wedding planner allows your day to run smoothly while you’re out there enjoying every moment with your loved ones.
