Sweet spring blooms from last Saturday @millworkscreative with pals @dorothymay_ and @katewatkinson for some family minis.
We’ve been looking for Jude’s glasses since but I can report that we found them under the couch, in a bag. All is well 😌

We love a good out of town wedding! 🚛
Also our official 2024 wedding season HAS BEGUN! 💐
This weekend we were in Aurora, Caledon, and King, ON for J and S’s big day. It was a lot of driving! First to ➡️ Mississauga then out to ⬅️ Niagara for flowers, back home to 🏭 Hamilton and then to stay in springy 😍 Aurora while we finished all the prep in my mom’s palacious basement 🌹🏰
We really couldn’t have done it without her, especially the childcare part! (it takes multiple villages right?!) and so a huge happy early Mother’s Day to @vdesylva and thanks for all your tireless help 💗
Aside from Mom’s Nona-tier cooking and hospitality I think maybe our favourite part was when we were headed to venue @themanor1982 and u-turned hard when Harry spotted an enormous and popping forsythia bush at Lions Demolition & Excavation @lionsdemolition in Tottenham for a quick roadie forage ✂️ (we asked and they generously allowed us to take a few branches! Thanks guys!)
🌼🌼🌼
Lastly, we’re currently sitting on some pretty big destination wedding news which has us itching to share with y’all, just not yet! 🤫
We are SO stoked for our 2024 weddings, near and (sometimes very) far. Get ready, Ontario and beyond!
This ain’t our first rodeo 🤠, so we have a few boundaries.
YES there are lots of hobby and new to the trade florists that will probably do all of these things and they aren’t wrong! But we are looking for couples that are the right fit for us, as much as we are for them.
Let’s get into it.
1. Our deposits are 30% because we found 50% to be a lot to bite off especially if you’re 1-2 yrs out from the event. We also take deposits on the minimum table numbers, the must haves and then if you have the budget for more closer to your event we can always add on.
2. We don’t price our designs based on stem count and we won’t sell you wholesale buckets for DIY. Sorry babes, it’s not our bag. We will do all the flowers or none of them, we want you to trust us to transform your space so everyone is asking “omg who’s your florist??”
3. We don’t do mock ups. Firstly they would cost a fortune because we only get flowers right before an event and we have to buy them in bunches of 10-25 stems and secondly each design is unique… see #4.
4. We will never copy or duplicate another florists work or even our own. It’s no fun and we want to be inspired by another person’s designs, not to copy them. Show us what you like but please don’t ask us to replicate.
5. We can’t tell you exactly what flowers we will use because we don’t know until we go and pick them out. If you have a sentimental attachment to a variety or an allergy of course let us know but otherwise… ya gotta trust us to execute your vision within your colour palette. Sometimes we have lots of rain or no rain and the flower availability reflects that. If we quoted you on a bouquet full of bloom heavy florals… that’s what you’ll get, even if we are out of pocket when it comes to making it. Our word is important, we want you to trust us.
We do however do a lot of little and big things to make your day easier. We micromanage the flowers so you don’t have to and we proudly put
We are so excited!!!
Next week we will be picking up blooms for our first wedding of 2024 and our Mother’s Day shoot with @katewatkinson as well as our next subscription bouquet day!
It will be a busy couple of days but honestly I cannot wait to get my hands on some stems! I didn’t really do “maternity leave” and for any other self employed parents, you know that just simply isn’t an option.
My creative brain is so itchy it’s actually kind of frustrating.
So the wedding season countdown begins for us and we can’t wait to share the magic with you!
If you’re looking for a florist for your event in 2024 or 2025 hit us up. Our minimum right now is $3500 but it will be increasing in July so now is a good time to book.
Want to know some prices? We will be increasing our transparency when it comes to cost and pricing but here’s an idea.
💐Bridal Bouquets $300+
💐Bridesmaids bouquets $95+
💐Ceremony flowers $1200+
💐Table centrepiece $95+
(Delivery, setup, labour and HST calculated separately)

We love it when you ask us to create something custom for your home.
Dried florals are a great way to bring colour and whimsy into your space and to honour those extra special vintage vases!
Bonus, no maintenance and when you need a refresh, you know who to call!

This weather is confusing my body!
You know what I mean?
My seasonal depression has one foot out the door but the other foot is kicking me in the stomach.
Flowers are totally blooming though, they don’t give AF and I’m ready for it.
We have a really exciting styled shoot with @girlandcamera_ this coming weekend filled with disco balls and tastefully tacky flowers by yours truly.
Looking SO forward to the pics that come out of that creative gathering!

The flower biz ain’t easy but it sure is pretty.
I (Kate here), have been slinging blooms for over 14yrs now.
Through 2 pregnancies, a divorce, a pandemic and back again.
The economy sucks right now, and most of us are struggling. Small businesses are now doing what we did back in March of 2020 when SH*T really hit the fan.
We’re pivoting for survival.
Not just the survival of our business but of our families and ourselves because the world can be a dark and dire place these days.
Ways that we have started to pivot for our business and our family:
🌷Harry got another job. That’s right, our BOYO is working 3 jobs if you count this one (I do). He’s now working full time for Darts Transit along with the Barton Village BIA .
🌷We have stopped retail flowers. Not having flowers in our cooler is a bit heartbreaking but watching them die and not be enjoyed is worse. We recognize that flowers are a luxury and if we aren’t selling enough bouquets each week, we end up losing money and that’s no good. We have kept subscriptions active,
So if you want our blooms you should totally sign up!
🌷we are back in our home studio (that’s a euphemism for the basement). It’s not perfect but it’s home and with Elphi so small, it makes more sense to lay low and not have another rent to pay. We are actively looking for a small studio space with lots of light but until we find the right fit, home is perfect for what we do.
🌷We’re increasing our minimum spend on events. This might seem counter intuitive if I just said that flowers are a luxury and that sales are down. They are down, way down. Maybe it’s a lull after covid or maybe it’s something else. Either way, we have to work within our means. We are taking on bigger jobs with bigger budgets but fewer jobs in total.
🌷More styled shoots and artistic collaborations.
We’re taking this quiet time to stretch and scratch our creative brains. This means more gorgeous photos for your feed so
