Kolo; a traditional circle dance where dancers join hands and follow each other in circle. This dance, widespread throughout many Slavic countries is done at social gatherings, celebrations, and other festive occasions.

I love seeing all the traditions and customs different cultures have for their weddings. In a place like Canada where we are so multi-cultural, it’s been especially cool to see so many fusions of cultures coming together to celebrate a couple ♡

This entire wedding was such a vibe! The joy radiating off of everyone was so infectious I had a smile on my face the entire day. I loved how A+D got their guests involved in their reception by playing The Photo Dash game. Basically, the DJ plays a song and we had to run to each table and take a photo with each group before the song was done. By the end of it we were all laughing (and sweating a little bit) but it was so much fun! I just know everyone will remember this wedding for a long time ♡✨

I used to be afraid of maternity photos. Whenever I’d get inquiries, I’d send them over to other photographers in fear I couldn’t do a good job. I thought that the only way I could take them was if I went into a studio with huge studio lights and a big dramatic dress. Now don’t get me wrong, I love seeing those photos but I just felt they weren’t me. Looking back it seems silly, but, I was so caught up in what was expected and what my art “should” look like. This shoot really opened up my heart to family sessions and what they could look like - for me and my clients. Now, I get so excited whenever an inquiry for a family session comes in. Thank you for trusting me to take your baby announcement photos. What an honour to let me photograph such a special time in your life! ♡
