Cooking has always been a huge part
of my life and it is the way I show
care for the people around me. I was
raised in a family with many great
cooks: my mom, both grandmothers
and many aunts. I started out baking at home while I
was growing up and throughout the
years, I have cooked for many
church suppers, family gatherings
and kids camps. As our kids grew
older, my passion for food
d

eveloped into a part-time catering
business. I dreamed about a kitchen
that was so well-equipped that I
could provide good, simple and
homemade food for people to take
home and enjoy themselves or share
with their families. Over a year later, after my husband,
son and father-in-law worked many
long hours to design and build our
new home, my kitchen became a
reality! I am starting out small to
maintain the quality of the food and
to keep prices reasonable. I count it a privilege and I love to cook
for the special events in
people's lives like weddings, birthdays
and other meaningful occasions. I can
cater for these dinners with a variety
of options including appetizers and
special desserts that will
help make your meal relaxing and
tasty.

Sometimes food is a reminder of loved ones we miss. This morning was a pop tart kind of day as I thought about my sister who passed away last week. Even though our Mom was and still is an amazing baker and cook, Judith and I shared this shocking, secret food craving…yup that’s right Pop Tarts!

Wow! That’s an awesome accomplishment. Best wishes in the next level of the competition!

What A Day!!
142 Christmas dinners were served. 25 more than was planned for this morning. 75 of the meals were “paid forward “ by Holstein Customers or were donated by the Holstein General Store which were either picked up or delivered by Santa Joe and his helpers.
A huge Thanks goes out to everyone involved that made Christmas better for a lot of people.
Our apologies go out to anyone who had to wait a little bit but hopefully the wait was worth it.
Merry Christmas 🎅🤶🎄

Corporate catering event: Homemade butter rich cookies including Orange Creamsicle, Double Chocolate Fudge and GFF Oatmeal cookies greeted the participants for this afternoon of meetings. And then for their dinner break they enjoyed a yummy BBQ chicken dinner with roast potatoes (which the guests were surprisingly complimentary about, since I’m a mashed potato fanatic myself), buttered mixed veggies, House Salad and fresh homemade rolls and butter set up and served at the P and H centre.

My Dad was a shift worker at Dow Chemical in Sarnia so we some times were awake at 5 am to get our Christmas joy before Dad left for a 7 am shift. Maybe that’s where my chocolate first thing in the morning started, lol?

This restaurant is an amazing and delicious place to eat. The owner and servers are wonderful. I’m sorry gratitude and manners seem to have gone out of fashion and so many people in the service industry are discouraged. A good reminder to try a little kindness!

Friendly reminder.
Actions are meaningful.
Help us do the best we can do.

25 years of business,I have never seen so much disregard as I have this past year. Inconsiderations affect everybody.

If you’re going to be late or not show up - please just call. We spend a lot of time arranging the dining room to accommodate all our guests.

If your numbers change - please let us know. If effects our floor plan, dining room set up, servers sections etc. especially large groups.

If you book last minute and you don’t get the best seat in house. Deal with it. Our reservations system books table accordingly to when they were reserved.

I apologize for the rant. But things have got out of hand. As always, we are here to serve you. Thank you for your continued patronage. Cheers. James Eddington.
