Last Thursday we were invited to the Pictou County Chamber Business Achievement Awards. It was a humbling experience to be recognized for all the hard work we have put into this business. Thank you Pictou County Chamber and Pictou County Partnership for the Nomination.
I want to thank some people who helped get us to this point. First off, I want to thank my Mom who is my eyes, ears and main caretaker of this property. Without her A LOT of this wouldn’t have happened. We both work our hardest to make sure this place looks its best and to make sure everyone has a great time while they are here. Thanks Mom!

To my co-workers, Raylene Garby and Dianne C Martin, thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to what we do. You make the days go smoothly and without your care, sacrifice and hard work, we wouldn’t be where we are today!

Thank you to my father for not only building the barn 30 years ago and helping to renovate it for the initial weddings, but for being a sounding board when I was trying to figure out what I should work on next. Your advice has been put to work and it shows in this award. Thank you.

Thank you to all the vendors who we have worked with throughout our 9 years of growth. You have played a part in this as well and thank you for your commitment to making sure our guests have their best days!

Finally, thank you to all who have been here and enjoyed their time here. Thanks to the all the brides and grooms who have chosen us for their special days. It has been our pleasure to host you and all of your friends and families. The best part of our days is when we get to see other people have one of their best days here. It is what motivates everyone associated with Parker’s Barn. It is so rewarding, so thank you for choosing us.

To all the couples yet to come, we will continue to make sure you also have your best day! We pride ourselves on our customer service and this award verifies that we are doing something right!

The OG Parker’s Barn greeter turned 8 today. Massey is not as fast as she once was but that doesn’t stop her from coming to say hi or greeting the many people who come to visit us through out the year. It’s hard to believe she has been here for over 110 weddings! Of course she shared with the others because that’s who she is. Thanks to Cosmos Treats and Treasures for the lovely cake. All the dogs loved it!

It was an absolutely perfect fall day for Emma and Ethan’s wedding! 🍂 🍁

The pizza 🍕 and donuts 🍩 were such a hit! And their elegant decor was stunning! 🤩

Such a wonderful way to wrap up our season. Emma, Ethan and their crew were a pleasure to host! Congratulations to the newlyweds! 💖

It was touch and go on whether or not we would be able to have an outdoor ceremony yesterday, but the sun came out and Rebecca and Justin were able to get married outside! The beautiful warm pinks and maroon they chose for their colours was perfect for the early fall wedding.

Wow! That's the word used by many to describe this beautiful, floral themed wedding. Flowers could be found in every decor detail of the day, including the brides dress. The backdrop for the signing ceremony consisted of a lovely stained glass window from Something Borrowed Vintage Rentals
One Day Affair was a pleasure to work with and ensured every detail for the brides vision was achieved.Foxy Entertainment kept the dance floor hopping all night!

The sun came out just in time to celebrate the marriage of Jessica and Nathan yesterday.

Family and friends celebrated the couple in an intimate ceremony and reception. The personal touches of the couple, and hints of sunflower decor were the perfect fit for their wedding.

Even with the rain it was still a beautiful day to celebrate the Sutherlands!

It was really important to Sydney and Ryan that they got married outside, so when the forecast was calling for rain, plan B came into play! The tent provided the perfect cozy shelter so that the couple could have their ceremony outside. How awesome is the champagne wall?!

They were a wonderful group to host at Parker’s Barn!

Kris and MacKenzie gathered with their friends and family to celebrate their marriage, then they escaped down back to exchange private vows 🤍 we are loving this new tradition that we’ve started to see more of!
