May is one of the busiest months for Florists- between Mother's Day and Prom we are SWAMPED....and we were just crazy enough to take on a Wedding in the midst of it all. 🤪 (Boy, are we glad we did because it was absolutely STUNNING and so much fun to put together!)

We had the privilege of creating for three weddings this past weekend. Each of them was uniquely beautiful.

We have many people to thank for making it all come together so well. 🫶💕

One of our brides, Valerie, requested locally grown blooms which set us on a quest to find local growers who could supply us with what we needed. Because of this request, we met some wonderful new local flower growers for our shop! 👩‍🌾

A huge thank you to Sophie from , Skye from , and Jenny from for your absolutely perfect blooms!

Also a huge thank you to our always wonderful sales reps and suppliers who always pull through for us even when it’s a last minute request! from you are truly the best! .willi777 from you are also top notch and always manage to find us what we need! And and .ca thank you for your contributions as well this weekend and for being one of our regular and important suppliers of premium flowers. Just making this list makes me realize how much effort and teamwork and dedication goes into creating the outcomes you see in a beautiful flower arrangement. It’s really a fascinating and wonderful industry to be part of.

And last but also primarily I (Elise) need to thank my exceptional designers, Kim and Ashley! The table centerpieces, arch decorations, aisle and welcome sign arrangements, were all designed by their expert hands and they looked stunning! 😍

A weekend like this requires long hours. We are a busy little flower shop and also handled several funeral orders along with our everyday orders and our team pulled through working extra hours even coming back to work after managing at home commitments and I am so appreciative. 💗

Our Story

The Village Green Flower Shop hasn’t been around for a while, but it previously served the area for many years. Elise, along with her parents who owned the shop in Morrisburg, made the difficult decision in 2004 to close the shop due to changing family needs at the time. Several years later with children grown, Elise decided it was time to revive the classic name of the shop which had served the area for generations with excellent customer service, and superb quality and value.

Elise is a talented and skilled designer whose main focus is on serving the community around her. She strives to create arrangements that speak for the heart of the sender. It’s more than about making pretty flower arrangements—it’s about connecting with people and helping them convey thoughts and emotions at some of the most significant moments of people’s lives whether it be the arrival of a new baby into our world, or a celebration of a life well lived. Flowers are for the grand moments we celebrate like weddings and anniversaries, and graduations, new homes or jobs, or to send to the friend who is struggling with life and needs a little pick me up, or the grandparent who feels lonely and needs to know someone thinks of them even when they can’t be near. Life is full of moments, and flowers convey so much when we want to reach out and say ‘thanks’, ‘I care’, ‘I love you’, ‘I grieve with you’, or ‘I celebrate with you’.
