Bright, timeless, JOYFUL images that not only capture all the beauty, but the feeling of the day. This has been my consistent style of capturing and editing my photos for almost 18 years, but each year I find myself getting older, capturing the little in-between moments for my clients has become the main goal - ( because I know from experience how time will make you treasure these more than you do now;) If you want spend your day alongside a photographer who LOVES being a part of your day, doesn’t want you to be in front of the camera for hours on end, but enjoying time with your people… along with having almost 2 decades of experience, I may be your girl! A little winter post for my kiddo, .dyson . She has a new song coming out on Spotify soon ( not this one, although you can find this one on there) - you need an image to post when you launch a song, so that means we run out and get a pic. It was soooo cold, but such pretty light along the lake, so we froze our butts off for 10 minutes or so, and they turned out really well- you’d hardly know it’s the middle of winter in Canada;) If you’re a music lover like I am, go give her a follow, she’s super talented and if you get the chance to see her perform live, she’s pretty darned funny as well;) Hope everyone has a great weekend!! ☀️☀️

Although it’s always a good time for a newborn/baby session - being able to stay in for your at-home session while it’s chilly out is always soooo nice. Halfway through our annual trip to Puerto Vallarta, and thankfully it’s going by slowly! We’ve mixed it up with visiting friends, doing shoots, puttering through new areas, and getting some pool time, of course;) I always say when you make multiple “chapters” out of your time, instead of one lonnnnng chapter, things go by more slowly. Works in life, and vacay, too! The handsome fellow in the 1st pic is my hubby/assistant/safety guard for street crossings, haha. Such a great time here - if you haven’t been and would love some tips, I’m happy to share!

I can honestly say that there aren’t many things in my life that top documenting your celebrations…. and after 18+ years, I still feel all the feels, the goosebumps, the happy tears… I still have all the passion to not only capture your day in the most beautiful way, but to add to the memory of it by being a fun, hardworking, lighthearted and dependable addition. Okanagan creatives- this is for you!!! One year ago, I started learning more about branding photography- partly because I wanted to shoot more through the colder months, and partly because this is where I am in my own life, and what Im passionate about myself. Well, I fell in LOVE with it. The planning, the details, the brainstorming- the business behind it. And all the while helping myself and my OWN business learn… to put myself in situations where I’m uncomfortable ( yes, that meant getting myself in front of the camera:) My focus is creative entrepreneurs, and I’ve worked with fitness coaches, hairstylists, clothing designers, florists, realtors , musicians ( the one in the photos is my daughter, .dyson )financial experts ( not technically a creative industry, but my clients were sure on board)! I would love to expand my areas of expertise, and because of this I am offering an end of year special on all branding sessions. Yes, it’s December and the holidays are near … but more importantly, it’s that time of year that all my clients and friends get sentimental, maybe they realize how the year raced by- how their littles are that much bigger, and sometimes- they wish they would have captured more of that in photos. Thank you to ALL my dear clients for hanging on and waiting so patiently for their images during this busy season. I take careful time editing each and every session, giving special care for beautiful skin and smiles, and all the small things you probably don’t ever notice I’ve taken care of ( dog hair on clothes, power lines or ugly weeds , food in teeth, little kids drippy noses;) It takes longer than I’d like, but is always worth the wait. Thank you for trusting me - sending out a bunch more over the weekend! ☀️🩷

Part TWO of brand session was so much FUN! We went out with her sweet pup on the trails, then did a quick outfit change and headed to the .resort for date night with her hubby. I promise you, if you hate being in front of the camera, our sessions are easy-breezy, I boss you around a tonne so you don’t have to overthink what to do, and we have such a good time;)

Day Trippers 🇬🇧 Spending the week with a good friend over in her neck of the woods:) Fell in love with the beautiful, storybook city of York, and all its nooks and crannies. Even the wavy roads ( and wavy, uneven buildings) York Minster was beautiful, shopping and food were incredible, and The Shambles were fascinating. Definitely a place to visit again 🤍🤍 @mishwitty
