Don't forget that weddings are suppose to be fun!
Here are a few things to suggest to ensure you fully enjoy your wedding.
1) Bring a speaker. Music always gets people up and moving!
2) Don't forget the snacks and drinks (not just booze). When people are fed they tend to be happier. Nobody wants a hangry bride.
3) Plan for extra time when you can. Nobody likes to feel rushed.
4) Hire professionals. Let us vendors take care of the stress so you can relax and fully enjoy the day!

When creating the list to send to the florist, be sure to include the boutonniere.
A few things to keep in mind when deciding the style of boutonniere.
1) Weight - some flowers are actually rather heavy and can flop sideways or even break.
2) Color - what color is the groom going to be wear, what color of flower will look best with the full outfit.
3) Style - and I don't just mean the look of the boutonniere but how it is going to be attached. We recommend a magnet clasp as they are easy to attach and keep the boutonniere upright throughout the wedding.

We have been asked countless time, does an engagement ring need to be a diamond? And of course it doesn't. The rings (engagement or wedding) is a symbol of endless love and commitment, what the ring looks like or how expensive it is does not change the meaning. As long as you feel it is a genuine representation of your relationship it can be whatever you want.

Don't let anyone fool you - wedding planning isn't easy.
It is okay to feel overwhelmed and stressed when trying to plan your wedding. Here are a few things we suggest to help take some of that stress away.
1) Make a plan. Having things written out and seeing them laid out can help you know where to start.
2) Take things one step at a time. No need in stressing about something when you don't have the information or resources to work on it. Focus on one thing at a time and check it off that list.
3) Talk to professionals. We are here to help. If you are confused or overwhelmed don't be afraid to ask questions.
4) Ask for help, if that means hiring a wedding planner, delegating tasks to wedding party or family you are not in this alone.
5) Stop comparing your wedding planning to everyone else (especially social media). Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok can all be great tools to get ideas however you need to remember that it is not all real. If it is a styled shoot, AI image or just a very expensive wedding, what you see online is not always attainable and that's okay.

The ceremony is such an important aspect of the wedding day. It is normally only 20-30 minutes and it surely will go by in a blur of love and nerves.
Remember to take your time and breathe. We always suggest taking a slight pause before walking down to your fiancé to really soak it all in!

The Story

August 2020, and the inspiration and motivation to launch my own wedding planning company is re-sparked. I have dreamt of having my own company since the age of 5 when I planned my birthday parties a full year in advance. Truthfully I did not know when or what that would look like for me, all I knew was that one day I wanted to become the proud creator of a business that had a positive impact on people's lives. I knew that I wanted to help couples with their wedding, now all I needed was the means of doing it which brings me to the creation of In This Moment Weddings.

I have recently fallen in love with Fall! Growing up my favorite season used to be summer, it had my birthday, no school, hot weather with endless time with friends. However as I’ve gotten older I soon came to realize that I have taken a liking to Autumn. When the leaves start to change color from green to hues of orange, burgundy and yellow it feels like the world is starting a new chapter. With the starting of In This Moment I too was starting a new chapter. The rich colors remind me that the world is constantly changing and that each day is a gift and not a given right. Autumn is a time of reflection, gratitude and love, therefore when choosing the colors for In This Moment I wanted to showcase those same feelings.

You may be asking yourself, why an orchid? When I was researching and planning the brand for In This Moment I remembered something a friend of mine mentioned a few years back. He said, ‘anyone can give roses but to give an orchid is to show somebody that they are exceptional’. I wanted to have a company that wasn't typical rather than a company that was exceptional. When I researched further I learned that the orchid is known as the most coveted of the ornamental plants. The orchid flower itself represents grace, love, beauty, luxury and strength. Those are the qualities I wanted to showcase for my company.

So I had the colors and logo idea, however I still needed a name. I tossed around a few ideas, yet known of them resonated with me. I kept going back to the ‘why’. Why did I love being a wedding planner? Why was it important for me to help couples with their wedding? Why was I so passionate about the wedding industry? Why do people get so stressed about their wedding? Why did I want to launch my own company?
