We ADORED designing this September wedding. The blend of black and white with a touch of 90’s kitsch was so elegant and fun.

One thing that makes us special as a design team is that we’re not attached to our own personal style, which makes it effortless for us to find yours.

You won’t look at any of our events and say, “that’s a Perspective event”, because what you’re seeing and feeling is our clients, not us.

We’ve started on your 2025 wedding designs and, as always, it’s been a joy discovering who our clients are and what they want to create.

Set up and take down of an event can be HARD. Not just the physical labour, but the organization before hand, the delegation if you have a team helping you, knowing how long it will all take, making sure you have all the supplies to get it all done. Here’s a few things you can do to make it easier;⁣
⁣
✨ LISTS! Do no underestimate the power of lists. packing, before to do’s, on site to do’s, clean up to do’s.⁣
✨ TEST RUNS! Anything that might require a bunch of set up, could always use a test run. time how long it takes you and work out the kinks before hand⁣
✨ APOINT A LEADER! Decide who your second is going to be so that if extra help is needed in one area you’ve got a second person who feels comfortable taking the lead.⁣

Fallen in love with that one decor item, but it feels out of your budget?

It might just be the item that makes your design, so don’t let the dollar value of that one item determine whether it stays or goes. Put your whole design plan together, have images of all the items you’d like on one document and mock up as much as you can (better yet do a mock up in person in our showroom). Then see how you feel about it all together, take some of the other items out and again see how it feels. That one piece might be all you need to make the events atmosphere feel the way you want it to.

With this design the client loved these chairs while also being wary that they are one of the higher priced chairs in our inventory. We moved around everything else in the design without sacrificing impact so we could fit the chairs in the budget, and it made the design. The style of the chair, how comfortable they are, and seeing them in repetition down the table all added to the overall atmosphere.

We are here to help, so if you need to see things in person, play around and put it all together our coffee is hot and we have the space! Book a showroom visit and have that portion of your planning off your shoulders.

Don’t just cover what you don’t like about your venue. The more you try to hide that obtrusive painting, the closet door that’s in the wrong spot, or the carpet that is clearly not design savvy, the more people will notice it!

Draw your guests attention away from it or create something with intention that covers it so no one will notice its there.

The closet door that is far too noticeable could be a good spot for your bar, and you can create an epic bar back drop covering it up well.

Instead of worrying about how much your guests will notice the busy ballroom carpet bring your guests eyes upwards to more noticeable table decor, or hanging installations, so the impact of that hotel ballroom carpet is far less.

Our kickoff event of 2024 was a large 3 day corporate set-up in multiple locations around Kelowna and a total HIT! It involved large décor set-ups, quick room flips, a giant amount of guests, and a lot of trust from our clients. ⁣ ⁣ For the opening meet and greet @summerhillwinery we were given the task of creating an intimate garden party which gave guests a chance to connect before the weekend’s conference and gala. We pulled this off with lounges, lawn games, high top tables and a spacious layout to promote movement throughout the room.⁣ ⁣ Following this was a 2 day conference @thedelta where we set-up vibrant custom displays and branding elements that we completely transformed the next night for the closing gala. ⁣ ⁣ We LOVE working on big events like this because they challenge us to go bigger with our builds and customizations and find creative ways to weave the clients brand and vibe throughout. #eventdesign #eventdecor #eventbuilds #eventprofs #eventstyling #eventinstallation
