Posted • How do you estimate alcohol for a wedding? Save this post for future reference.
General Rule:
1 drink per hour per guest
This means if you’re serving liquor from 4pm-12am you’ll need 8 drinks per person x 100 guests. Or 800 liquor servings.
Bottle of Wine = 5 servings
Bottle of Champagne = 6 servings
Serving of hard alcohol is 1.5oz
From here you’ll take your 800 servings and divide them by wine, hard alcohol, beer/seltzers. You might do 50% wine, 40% hard, 10% beer. This is how you’ll figure out how much you’ll buy of each.
Standard 8 drinks at an Okanagan wedding:
1 champagne upon arrival or post ceremony
1 glass rose at cocktail hour
2 glasses of wine during dinner and speeches
4 remaining drinks from 9pm-12am during dancing (often hard bar or wine)
= 8 drinks
For mix you’ll use half a can of pop per spirit. So if you have a 40oz of Gin you’ll purchase 20 cans of pop to reflect that.
Final notes: I recommend a max of 5 spirits and 2 types of beer to limit waste. You’ll go through more wine at a winery wedding than you would elsewhere as many people like to try the wine of the vineyard they’re dining in. You’ll also go through more rose and white wine on a hot today than a late Fall wedding.

Posted • While guests dined at for their reception, I left my team to put on finishing touches at the after party! We had a lakefront band, bar of custom cocktails, ice-cream cart, late night pizza, and a lot of dancing left to do!
Guests were given glowsticks on the shuttles and arrived at sunset to party for the rest of the evening.

As leaders in our industry, we are looking for enthusiastic, fun people to fill both full time and part time positions, in our warehouse. Students and retired people are welcome!
Duties may include:
- Packing rental orders.
- Counting back orders.
- Washing glassware and dishware in a bright and open environment with two Commercial Ware-washing machines.
- Cleaning and Maintenance of rental items in preparation for rental.
- Helping customers load rental items into their vehicles.
This is a Monday to Friday 9am-5pm job, and we have both part time and full time positions available. Overtime shifts may also become available during the busy summer season. Please send your resume to [email protected]

And Covid wasn’t a thing. Their puppy was only 3 days old and Reya, their daughter, was just a twinkle in his eye. • Life changes fast. I cannot stress the importance of a wedding film because life doesn’t stop moving. Guests enjoyed a mouth watering plated meal by @19bistro finishing off with cake from @flourandcake .
