✨ florals ✨
Florals are a classic staple for weddings; however, the cost, amount, variety, and volume can vary quite differently. Certain blooms cost more, seasons play a heavy role in the cost & availability, and durability is always a concern.
In my opinion, nothing quite beats the ambiance and aesthetic of real florals, but due to the delicate intricacy of florals, utilizing them to their full potential is of the utmost importance. Here are a few of my tips:
🌸 hire a professional florist and allow them creative independence.
What do I mean? Let the florist advise you on what the most fitting, seasonal, and complimentary blooms will work for your vision and date. You may have had visions of a flower that does not correlate with your wedding season and that’s ok! Your professional florist will be able to suggest alternatives that will work.
🌸 reduce, reuse & recycle
within your design plan, let’s come up with ways that we can reside the blooms from your ceremony in your reception. Moving bud vases from cocktail tables to the head table, utilizing arbour arrangements behind the newlyweds, or having a gorgeous welcome arrangement that first was your isle bloom. These are a few ways we can enjoy these beauties multiple times.
🌸 less is more
Sometimes, less can be more. Use greenery as a table runner, have 5 bud vases instead of 8, have smaller “petite” bridesmaid bouquets, or opt for pillar style arrangements rather than a larger arbour statement piece. These small changes can greatly reduce the cost and waste of the florals.
