TTM is an acronym for Tickle Trunk and More as this is where it all began in 1989 when the husband and wife team of Hal and Deb Puder began using balloons in their basement to create gift bouquets and event decor. Both have backgrounds as sales reps in the floral, card, gift and novelty wholesale industry and when a space became available on Dilworth Drive, The Tickle Trunk was born and still is i
n full operation as a balloon, party, costume, card, gift and novelty shop. Until February of 2010, TTM Events was also at The Tickle Trunk Dilworth location where wedding and floral had a sizable part of the store—along with 2 warehouse spaces! It was realized that after 1000 weddings and 500 corporate events that TTM Events had to move into its own space to serve a growing wedding and corporate market. Deb custom designed a space to be functional and esthetical i nspiring (see store images.) An ideal location at 1660 Powick Road came about and happened to be beside their long-standing business associate, Avalon Event Rentals. Together they are the Okanagan Event Centre and are able to plan, supply and execute any type of event. TTM Events is unique in that it is a storefront wedding shop, resource centre, planning and design space and flower shop with a full-time florist all-in-one. We display linens and chair covers from six different suppliers as well as many sample centerpiece options, rental ideas and wedding retail items. A large array of portfolios can be viewed or in albums or on our large screen, while our helpful staff are on-hand to answer any questions. Deb and Hal have gone a long way from just the 2 of them, working out of their basement!
