Biggest industry lie you’ve ever been told? Drop it in the comments 💘💘💘

Who wants in on maybe the biggest industry lie? We want to know why every article you read it will tell you the wedding gown is the most expensive purchase for the wedding on average. This is simply SO untrue.

Here’s a list of things more expensive that your average wedding gown and… guaranteed more expensive than the gowns you can find at our store.

✅ catering (unless it’s street food/ food truck)
✅ venue … try about 3x the cost of our average wedding gown (unless it’s someone’s back yard and you don’t have to order in outdoor toilets!!!)
✅ outdoor toilets …
✅ photographer (unless you ask a family friend…)
✅ videographer
✅ florals for the whole wedding party + floral decor

We will stop there for now 😆

We are a bit sick of hearing that the gown is the most expensive thing you’ll buy. This sets a completely backwards expectation for shoppers when they usually start with their dress and think everything will be downhill.

We are all about transparent pricing which is why we have the bulk of our gowns listed on our website along with the … you guessed it, PRICES!

Did you know this is very very rare in this industry. We hope that by us taking that extra mile to get them online for you that you’ll appreciate it 💘💘💘

Christmas is the time to bring your family together to see you say yes to the dress. While family visits Kingston or you visit them, now is the perfect time!

December is always a quieter time to shop, whereas January is the busiest season of the year. If you’d like to have the most selection available to you and more flexible appointment times (and more availability) with a fully private bridal appointment at our discreet bridal suite 💓💓💓

Meet Prathika 🫶✨💫

Our newest addition to our bridal styling staff!
Prathika is a Software Engineer, local model/ influencer (all things fashion + food + nail art ) and you may recognize her as one of our bridal models from many occasions! She’s also helped us run a clothing swap event before so you may have met her there. She’s basically been a Moxie Girl in training for over a year helping us here there and everywhere! 🥹

P has amazing attention to detail, fun style, and we love how real she is — not to mention funny! Our love for her is real and we know our brides + engaged people will love her too!

She is OBSESSED with cats (basically that’s a Moxie requirement at this point knowing our team 😂). In her spare time you’ll find her exploring everything Canada has to offer with her husband— congrats to the newly weds! 😍 Ask her what she wore to her wedding and she will love to tell you all about it!

Monika found her gown with us back in the early summer and is now sending it to us to be cleaned and then sold on consignment — so if you like this gown good news is that it will be available again soon!

Hello November. We are dreaming of all things white, cream, ivory, mocha, and champagne. How about you?

We are getting ready for our busiest weekend at the shop everrrrr! We have a triple bride appointment tomorrow (three besties, one long time slot!)

This means we are going to need a restock next week we think 🤔 if you’ve been thinking of consigning your gown, now is the time! This is our busy season! Brides shop 1-1.5 years in advance of their big day.
