Halloween Wedding -

🥂🥂 Congrats Melissa and Iain!

When contact me a while back and asked for cookies that had a Halloween wedding theme - I was thrilled! Something new and unique is always exciting for a maker - this was no exception. So much fun creating this, although I will say the worst part of this set was widdling down all of my ideas into a cohesive set - SO. MANY. IDEAS. And then I got to see *the dress* and obviously I was gonna use it for cookie inspo. Also, did I mention that the wedding was a surprise?! Yeah, the guests thought they were being invited to a Halloween party - how cool!?

If you've been paying attention you may have noticed a new photo prop in some of my more recent content. When I saw **kuterieboards for the first time, I immediately wanted one. DID YOU KNOW: Sloths can fall 100ft and not hurt themselves?!

What?!

They've evolved to be able to withstand large falls and impacts - probably because they will (on average) fall from a tree once a week for their entire lifespan. Also, males will fight to mate with females if they have to - and knowing you've won is when your opponent falls to the ground, so at least we know it's (likely) not a lethal blow. 🤷🏻‍♀️🦥

DID YOU KNOW: Sloths are great swimmers! They can swim 3x faster than they can move on land - AND the three fingered sloths (oh, yeah, ICYMI there are sloths with 2 and 3 fingers and they are different but related) actually have 2 extra neck vertabrae which means they can swim normally but have their heads turn above water to breathe! 🤯🦥

DID YOU KNOW: Sloths have the potential to cure cancer?!

I know, I was skeptical too - but, their fur coat is different than others. The cracks in the hair allow for fungi and algae to grow, giving sloths an almost green appearance sometimes. The different species of algae and fungi have been found to actively work against some bacterial strains, cancers and even parasites! Uh, WHAT?! How freaking cool is nature?

Happy International Sloth Day!

DID YOU KNOW: Avocados wouldn't be here today if it were not for the ancestor of the modern sloth?!

According to research - the giant ground sloth was one of the only mammals with a large enough digestive tract to allow whole avocado seeds to pass through.

I have teamed up with once more to host and I'm pumped. I have a series of photos and video to show you, so get ready! Oh, and a ton of fun facts like the one above - do you have a fun fact about these furry creatures?!
