Please be advised that Safety-Kleen in Breslau will be completing their routine bi-annual refinery maintenance shutdown starting Saturday, March 15th, and anticipate their re-starting process to occur on Monday, March 24th, 2025.

They have advised the Township that they carryout odor control in the steam v***r phase throughout the process as part of their cleaning preparations, and note there is still the potential for odors when they first open up some of the vessels and lines for cleaning.

Safety-Kleen will be monitoring and inspecting all maintenance activities and will be prepared to shut down if necessary if odor issues are detected.

With rain and warmer temperatures projected for the next few days, the Township needs your help! Blocked storm drains can lead to flooding as the snow melts and rain falls. When temperatures drop back below freezing, roads can then become ice skating rinks as standing water freezes. While Operations staff are working hard to remove snowbanks and keep drains clear, they ask for you at home to help if you can. By taking a moment to clear drains near your home, you can help prevent this and keep our roads safe.
