This moody, rainy weather has me thinking about M&K’s incredible wedding day at American Creek Lodge last June. Some couples might worry about a little rain, but these two embraced it, and honestly? It only made their day feel even more magical. The mist rolling through the trees, the soft drizzle during some portraits - it was the kind of romantic, Pacific Northwest vibe you’d dream of. ✨

And speaking of trees, let’s talk about K! As an arborist, he spends his days high up in the branches, so it was only fitting that their wedding featured nods to his love for the outdoors. From the place cards and special cake with a chain saw to the breathtaking forest backdrop, every detail felt connected to their story. Meanwhile, M brought all the energy and joy you’d expect from someone with a passion for zumba, kicking off the party with some group Zumba lead dances! Watching guests jump in and follow along was such a fun, unexpected moment that had everyone smiling.

Beyond that, their day was filled with little surprises that made it uniquely theirs - hidden details that reflected who they are as a couple. One of the sweetest moments? Their dog playing a special role in the ceremony! Seeing their furry best friend go down the aisle, tail wagging, was the perfect personal touch, and you could just feel how much love this little pup is surrounded by.

It was the perfect mix of heartfelt and fun, and I still can’t get over how much joy and love filled the day. Rain or shine, M&K’s wedding was one for the books! 🤍

Who doesn't love a good charcuterie spread?! It's a perfect way to enjoy cocktail hour! Guests can indulge in a variety of delicious bites while sipping on signature drinks and mingling in a relaxed setting before the reception begins.

It’s also a great opportunity for the couple to soak in the atmosphere and connect with loved ones. After finishing up their portraits, many couples choose to join the tail end of cocktail hour—sharing a toast, greeting guests, and getting a moment to enjoy the festivities.

Under the towering trees and breathtaking views of Manning Park, C & F shared a truly magical moment at Lightning Lake. With the waters as their backdrop and the beauty of nature surrounding them, their ceremony was filled with love, laughter, and the perfect touch of adventure.

After the vows, the celebration continued with an unforgettable reception - heartfelt speeches that had everyone in tears (and stitches!), bouquet toss that had everyone up and a dance party that kept the energy high all night long. This was a bouquet full of texture and color, designed to stand out. 💐

The combination of ranunculus, dahlias, and roses in soft yellows, peaches, and deep reds created a refined yet vibrant look. Each bloom was carefully arranged to add depth and movement without making it overwhelming.

Back from the most incredible few days at the Delta Grand Resort in beautiful Kelowna, and I’m still reflecting on all of it. This retreat was more than just time away — it was about connecting with other planners and industry partners who just get it. We shared ideas, swapped stories, formed new friendships, had so many laughs, and made memories. There’s nothing quite like being surrounded by people who understand both the creativity and the chaos that comes with this job — and finding so much fun and inspiration in the process. And I have to say, the Delta Grand truly spoiled us. Gorgeous lake views, cozy spaces to gather, surprises, amazing food — and a team that made us feel so taken care of. It was the kind of thoughtful hospitality we all hope to pass on to our own couples. Being there also reminded me how special this place would be for a wedding, growing up in the Okanagan having my high school graduation in the ballroom, to now possibly even doing a wedding in the same space. The stunning waterfront, beautiful event spaces, and a team at the Delta that’s truly wonderful to work with make it such an easy and natural place for meaningful moments to come to life. Thank you @deltagrandhotel for this amazing experience, and to this amazing community of wedding planners! ♥️
