Day Two from Provence France. Although the rain was a little challenging today, I am still in awe of this region of France. The peaceful countryside, beautiful manor homes built centuries ago, the history and sheer beauty that you can’t describe driving down the country roads . There is not a lot of places in the world that you just feel like it’s home when you arrive . I can’t wait to see what the rest of the week unfolds . .

I’m back ! It’s been almost 7 years since Tony and I spent 2 weeks in Provence and the South of France 🌞. Well I am back and ready to share the experience with my mom Sue and a lovely group hosted by for the next week . Today mom and I spent touring around Marseille and it was a real treat. Now we are ready to spend the next week based in Apr France . Please follow along for updates on how our treasure hunting is coming ❤️.

It's and I thought I would share what it takes to produce a luxury Niche wedding.

I get a lot of inquiries into why our wedding services may cost more than some other florists and decorators in the industry and here is why we are worth it.
8 - 12 month prior - First consultation take approximately 3 hours
Design proposal, floor plans, product sourcing takes approximately 6 hours even before we are hired.

2 months prior to the wedding - Purchase any vessels, candles, linens for the wedding.

3 weeks prior - final consultation - order flowers

1 week prior - organize, clean any rental items required for the wedding

5 days prior - pick up flowers from auction and wholesalers

4 days prior - process all flowers

3 days prior - pack all rentals, vessels, linens, candles etc..

2 days prior - start designing and producing flower arrangements. Fold napkins.

1 day prior - Day begins at 6am and three designers finish designing and producing flower arrangements. Inventory Manager picks up rental van, load all non perishables into the vans. Day ends at 10pm.

Day of Wedding - Day begins at 6am. We arrive at venue at 9am, load in all non perishables, set up tables & chairs, place linens and pipe and drape, arrange tables with charger plates, candles and centerpieces. Light candles and leave venue at 4pm. We arrive at Midnight for tear down, disassemble all décor and florals off tables, pack up vans, put away tables and chairs, tear down pipe and drape and end our service for the wedding at 3am.

Day after wedding. Clean all vessels and put away. Return the rented van

Our full service weddings take approximately 40 - 60 hours from start to finish.

Plus this does not include 8 -12 months of correspondence to our clients or planners.

We decided to share this beautiful white flower with you today in accordance with French tradition. You give those you love a little bouquet of Lily-of-the-Valley (Muguet), to wish them happiness and good luck in celebration of the arrival of spring.

"The plant has long been considered a symbol of spring, renewal and luck since the days of the Celts. However it really gained importance in France after King Charles IX of France was given a lily of the valley plant on the 1st May in 1561. He was told it would bring him luck and being a superstitious person, he thought it would be a nice idea to give a lily of the valley plant every year on May 1st to the ladies of his court to bring more luck all round."
