Switching gears to seasonally working with an AMAZING local flower farm (shoutout to !) has made my floral work feel a lot more rhythmic and natural, allowing for the time I and my family needed in these past few months especially to have a bit of a life-reset.

But I won’t lie— I missed it. The flowers, colours, textures and grooves. The dirty hands and the trailing scent that follows me home after a long day of designing! I’ve missed all of it. Every petal-filled moment has become meaningful to me.

Thankfully- as of today- I am back at it again, ready to take on the coming months of weddings with Blumen, and hoping for more creative projects like this one at .

Dropped off some dried flower pieces at store today!

There are large and small bouquets, and starting Monday there will be gold hoop wreaths, as well as bouts that can be attached to gift packages, cards and chocolate boxes or even used as place settings when hosting!

Felt inspired by the strawflowers and created a few print designs from them! So fun.

It’s here! Through many twists and turns we made it… with real flower and digitally-drawn (etc.) prints launching soon! I’m so proud to share another layer of this floral work that I love so much. Most of my designs are based on work I’ve created in the real world, and it’s been so fun to expand on that.

Naturally I chose this super meaningful memorial design in honour of my Grandma to share first as she was someone who always supported my art over the years… and I know she would take great interest in my pursuits in tandem with sharing her own wild and inspiring adventures with me too.

I’ve been missing my time at lately; my shifts there have slowed down a bit as seasonal markets come to an end… which just makes me extra grateful for an elopement bouquet tomorrow on the farm PLUS spending time designing Blumen’s amazing dried wreaths!!! 🌿

My focus at Kaye Fleur for the past couple of seasons has been to design flowers for small-scale weddings, and now I get to do that solely sourcing flowers and greenery from the amazing Blumen Fields! Weddings with only local, sustainably and organically-grown flowers that are harvested right from the field and designed on location is so incredibly fulfilling and exciting! And honestly, it’s been such an amazing transition both personally and as a business to become the in-house designer for such an incredible entrepreneur and friend! (Nadine you’re the best!)

But our services don’t stop at weddings; market bouquets are readily available as well as weekly, biweekly, monthly and annual floral subscriptions! These bouquets are the perfect addition to your dining table, a wonderful hostess gift or an ongoing gift for a loved one (because saying “I love you” once with flowers just isn’t enough)!

It’s , and I’m taking some time to reflect on women.
🌿
We literally wouldn’t exist without women; from life-giving and sustaining through birth, and/or loving, holding, serving and fighting throughout the long line of courageous, thoughtful, kind, take-no-sh*t women who have gone before us in this lifetime... and the women I witness doing this today. “Thank you” just isn’t enough.
🌿
I am who I am because of so many incredible women, and I hope that the work I do as well as the people I’ve been honoured to collaborate with reflect these influences.
🌿
I will do my part to stand up, listen more readily, speak unapologetically, take up space, invite others in, and lift those around me up.
