Actor Ken Jeong receives Hollywood Walk of Fame star.

An actor, doctor, avid Dodger fan and now a Walk of Fame star recipient.

Ken Jeong received his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Wednesday for his acting career, which includes several movies, including “The Hangover,” as well as TV shows like NBC’s “Community.”

Jeong expressed gratitude for his fans, saying he does not have to use his medical license again.

"But because of (the fans), I never have to go back," Jeong said. "I'm not the funniest guy in the world, I'm not the most talented guy … But I'm the most grateful guy."
Jeong, who did his residency at UCLA and worked as a physician at Kaiser Permanente for several years before starting his film and TV career, said his first acting class at Duke University, where he received his undergraduate degree, sparked the fire in his heart.

"I didn't know if it was possible," Jeong recalled.

Zoe Saldaña Details the Important Lesson She’s Passed on to Her Kids

Zoe Saldaña exclusively told E! News the core value she’s made sure to instill in her three sons at Variety’s Power of Women event Oct. 24.

Zoe Saldaña wants her kids to know the value of hard work.

That’s why the Emilia Pérez star—who shares twin boys Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio, 9, as well as son Zen Anton Hilario, 7, with husband Marco Perego—has reframed the way she talks about her own professional life at home.

“I've replaced, throughout the years, two very important words,” Zoe exclusively told E! News at Variety’s Power of Women event Oct. 24. “I used to tell them I have to go to work, and now I tell them I want to go to work.”

“I just feel like it teaches them that work is a part of life,” she explained, “and that if you're doing things that make you happy, all you have to do is just share it with the people that you love around you.”

Besides imparting life lessons, the Guardians of the Galaxy star, 46, revealed what aspects of motherhood bring her the most satisfaction.

The governor wants to increase incentives to film and television to $750 million a year. Further changes may be on the way as the migration of production from the state borders on an exodus.

MasterChef. Supergirl. The Kelly Clarkson Show. These productions all initially filmed in California but were convinced to leave at least in part due to more lucrative tax credits in others regions. Now, as runaway production and Hollywood cost-cutting threatens the state’s hold on the film and television business, Gov. Gavin Newsom is stepping in.

An early budget proposal looks to vastly increase California’s current cap for a program that provides tax relief to producers across the business from $330 million to $750 million a year, Newsom is set to reveal on Sunday. The expansion would shower as much as $3.75 billion in tax credits to the industry over five years starting in 2025.

It’s been 50 years since this landmark Canadian movie changed the course of the horror genre. It’s still scary as hell

Bob Clark’s sorority house-set “Black Christmas,” beloved by Quentin Tarantino and Eli Roth, heavily influenced the ‘80s wave of slasher movies.

WARNING: This article contains spoilers.

For Lynne Griffin, the audition seemed very straightforward. After all, the character the Toronto actress was trying out for didn’t have many lines. But one question seemed unusual: “How do you feel about having a plastic bag over your head?”

She was actually fine with that because as an avid swimmer she had lots of experience holding her breath. With that response, Griffin landed the role of Clare, the first member of a university sorority house to be murdered by a serial killer in “Black Christmas.”

Rebel Wilson Files to Strike ‘The Deb’ Producers’ ‘Meritless’ Defamation Claims

Amanda Ghost, Gregor Cameron and Vince Holden accused the actress of defaming them when she said the trio sabotaged her directorial debut

Rebel Wilson has filed a motion to strike the “meritless” defamation claims from “The Deb” producers.

The actress/director’s legal documents were filed in Los Angeles on Monday and deny that she published “allegedly defamatory matter,” as suggested by Amanda Ghost, Gregor Cameron and Vince Holden. The filing also stated that the plaintiffs have not been able to prove that anything Wilson has said of the trio is “not substantially true.”

“This motion was filed to ensure that Rebel can use her voice for what she has always done which is advocate for herself and others,” her attorney Bryan Freedman said in a statement.

'Suits' Star Patrick J. Adams Makes Bold Statement About Former Co-Star Meghan Markle.

The former actress left the legal drama after Season 7 following her engagement to Prince Harry.

Patrick J. Adams recently made a rare comment about former Suits co-star Meghan Markle, his once onscreen love interest who left the show after she became engaged to Prince Harry.

Adams, who starred as Mike Ross opposite Markle's Rachel Zane, talked in a recent interview about his new Suits rewatch podcast while revealing if Markle, 42, was among those invited as a guest on the show.

Adams, 43, launched Sidebar: A Suits Watch Podcast with co-star Sarah Rafferty, the actress who played Donna Paulsen on the legal drama. While talking to the Hollywood Reporter about their new project, Adams revealed that all of their former castmates—including Markle—have been invited to come on the podcast.

"We’ve reached out to everybody and said, 'Come on as much and as often as possible,' and then we’ll independently keep going back out, seeing what their schedules are," Adams revealed. According to the outlet, he confirmed that Markle was among those who received an invitation.

But it's no secret that Markle has been distanced from much of the Suits resurgence over the past few years, as she was noticeably absent from the show's mini cast reunion at the Golden Globes back in January.

At the time, Gina Torres, who played Jessica Pearson, said Markle's exclusion from the reunion had to do with not having her number anymore.

"We don't have her number," Torres said. "We just don’t, so she’ll see. She’ll watch."

Cynthia Erivo Speaks Out on Fan-Edited ‘Wicked’ Poster: “This Is Just Deeply Hurtful”

The movie’s co-star took to social media to argue that hiding her eyes and much of her face in the altered poster "is to erase me."

Wicked star Cynthia Erivo has called out a fan-made movie poster for the highly anticipated movie musical from Universal Pictures as “deeply hurtful.”

The altered version of the official Universal poster hides Erivo’s eyes and much of her face to get closer to the original animated Broadway poster, where her character’s eyes were obscured by a wide-brimmed hat.

“The original poster is an illustration. I am a real life human being, whose chose to look right down the barrel of the camera to you, the viewer … because without words we communicate with our eyes,” Eviro, who plays Elphaba in Wicked, stated on her Instagram Story and X pages.

'Sopranos’ star Drea de Matteo says walking away from Hollywood was easy

'I don't mingle with famous people. I don't, it's just not my world'

After being ostracized by her Hollywood peers and losing acting jobs for refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine, Sopranos star Drea de Matteo says walking away from Hollywood was easy because she “never played the celebrity game.

“You know, a lot of people ask me about getting cancelled or getting kicked out of Hollywood or shunned. That never happened to me,” she explained in a new interview with Fox News. “I wasn’t in there to begin with. I’ve never been a Hollywood player. I’ve done a few acting parts of it on a few TV shows. I’ve done a good job. I even have, you know, some achievement awards and things. But like, I was never really in the industry.”

For Scott Speedman, ‘Felicity’ fame was a ‘culture shock.’ Now it works to his benefit

Scott Speedman knows something about survival mode. He and his partner welcomed their second child just over a month ago and, well, he’s familiar with getting through the days on little sleep.

“My kid’s not sleeping at all, so I drive him around from like, 12:30 to 2:30 in the morning,” he says. “I’ve lived in Silver Lake for 21 years now. I was there in my 20s and early 30s, and did all the bars and clubs. It’s hilarious to now have this kid in the back [of the car] while the clubs are getting out; to go by the Cha Cha Lounge and all these bars that are just flooded with kids while I’ve got the lullaby music mix on Spotify going.”

Toronto: Jude Law Shines as a Haunted Lawman in ‘The Order,’ Could Land First Oscar Nom in 21 Years

The 51-year-old English actor, who was last Oscar-nominated for 2003's 'Cold Mountain,' returns to contention for his portrayal of an FBI agent leading the hunt for domestic terrorists in Justin Kurzel's latest film.

On the heels of its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on Aug. 31, Aussie filmmaker Justin Kurzel’s The Order arrived at the Toronto International Film Festival this week. And, as was the case on the other side of the ocean, the film — which King Richard Oscar nominee Zach Baylin adapted from Kevin Flynn and Gary Gerhardt’s 1989 book The Silent Brotherhood, about the FBI’s pursuit of a domestic terror group in the 1980s — was largely embraced by critics and audiences. As for awards season prospects, it has one in particular: lead actor Jude Law.

Donald Glover cancels Childish Gambino tour dates over health issue

Donald Glover has canceled the remaining dates of Childish Gambino’s North American and European tour.

The musician, actor and “Atlanta” creator announced on Friday that he recently discovered an ailment that required surgery. After his New Orleans show on Sept. 7, he sought tests at a hospital and canceled a Houston show the following night. In a note on X, he did not elaborate on his condition.

“My path to recovery is something I need to confront seriously,” Glover wrote, adding that he needed “time out to heal.”

“The New World Tour” is Childish Gambino’s first tour since 2019. The run began on Aug. 11 in Oklahoma City and was to hit many major North American cities before moving to Europe, the U.K., New Zealand and Australia into early 2025.

'Waiting for magic to happen': The improvised drama of Toronto film 'Matt and Mara'

TORONTO — As a kid, Matt Johnson spent a lot of time talking himself out of trouble.

“My mom would tell me, ‘Oh, Matthew, I'm so worried that you're going to say something rude to somebody, and they're going to knock all your teeth out,’” the Toronto actor and director said on a video call.

But not only did being a cheeky rascal teach him some valuable life skills, he said, it prepared him for his role in Toronto filmmaker Kazik Radwanski’s new romantic dramedy “Matt and Mara."

The film is driven by free-flowing conversations, most of them improvised by the actors.

“I think all of that time as a kid being kind of an idiot and trying to make people laugh gave me a good sense of how to verbally get out of a bad situation that I had put myself in,” added Johnson, who directed and starred in 2023’s “BlackBerry.”

“A lot of my scenes in Kazik's movies are me doing that.”

The Toronto-set film, which begins its Canadian theatrical rollout Friday, earned praise after its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival for its realistic performances and unique take on the rom-com archetype.

‘Babygirl': 5 reasons why Nicole Kidman will receive a Best Actress Oscar nomination

The Best Actress race is already extremely stacked as we get closer to the 2025 awards season, with at least 10 significant contenders about to battle it out for only five slots at the Oscars. But if there's one performance that is going to make it in, I believe it's Nicole Kidman in "Babygirl," written and directed by Halina Reijn. Why? Here are my top five reasons.

1. The performance.

Kidman gives a ferocious tour-de-force performance in "Babygirl," which played at the Venice and Toronto Film Festivals and is opening in theaters in December. Kidman plays a high-powered CEO named Romy who enters a relationship with an intern named Samuel (Harris Dickinson) and in turn puts her job and family in jeopardy. Romy makes questionable choices throughout the narrative, but Kidman always keeps her grounded and empathetic in what I believe is her best movie performance since 2010's "Rabbit Hole."

2. Academy favorite.

A major reason Kidman has a good shot at returning to the Oscars for "Babygirl" is that she's been nominated five times in the last 25 years, first for "Moulin Rouge" (2001), and second a year later for "The Hours" (2002), for which she won the Best Actress trophy. She returned for her emotionally devastating turn in "Rabbit Hole" (2010), then again in the past decade for "Lion" (2016) and "Being the Ricardos" (2021). With it being more than two decades since her victory for "The Hours,"

Oscar Predictions via Feinberg Forecast: Scott’s Read of the Race as September Comes to a Close.

The Hollywood Reporter's executive editor (awards) shares his take on 17 categories — now including best original song!

A note from Scott: As September comes to an end, the awards race is heating up. Numerous hopefuls are rolling out at the box office, with some soaring (DreamWorks’ The Wild Robot topped the weekend with a $35 million haul; Sony’s Saturday Night had the year’s second-best limited debut) and others failing to launch (Lionsgate’s Megalopolis generated a disappointing $4 million). Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out 2 had the biggest Disney+ premiere of the year. And Warners’ Joker: Folie à Deux is premiering in LA Monday night ahead of its theatrical release next weekend.
