Good day FB-land Friends!

I’m looking to borrow 3-4 generators (Honda/Yamaha - quiet style) for the week of Aug 10-18 for the 2024 Softball Canada - Slo-Pitch Canadian Championships - Leduc, Alberta

Our event overview is huge, and not having to rent Gen’s for a week would be an enormous cost savings for us.

If you have, or you know someone who would be willing to lend out (in exchange for some sweet Canadians swag!!) please let me know as soon as possible!

This year we were so fortunate to have an amazing partner in our community, AMP'T Events Group, who chose our association to be their charity of choice. At every SPN tournament, and at their golf tournament, the generous donations from and the 50/50s at each weekend were directed to . Every sponsor that supports these tournaments in turn are supporting our 200 athletes in achieving success and falling in love with sport. This is a priceless gift. We are excited to put these funds towards the athletes in our organization and to continue the growth of fastpitch here in . Scott, Amanda, and everyone else on the Amp’t team, I can’t say enough about what your cheerleading and support of our organization meant to us. We look forward to years of fun and growing our sports together! To everyone who bought a raffle ticket, or a 50/50, you are appreciated and we thank you!

This summer, through the Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP), Amp't Slo-Pitch Events Group Society was approved for $81,000 towards upgrades to William F Lede Park in Leduc.

Good day all you amazing Slo-Pitch Players 🥎......hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather and sunshine!

Just a quick post/reminder of what will be happening this year on August Long Weekend in place of our National Championships having been cancelled.

We will be posting more details as we receive them in order for everyone to begin their plans as such.

Divisions, costs etc. will all be provided - please stay tuned!

IMPORTANT NOTE: There is, and was no qualifier for this event like we have Provincials for Nationals. Once registration opens, again - we will be quick to provide you all with those details.

AMP'T Events Group is very proud and excited to announce the Leduc Legion Branch No. 108 as our "Choice Cause" for the upcoming 2021 event season!

Our Mission : “To serve Veterans, which includes serving and retired military and RCMP members and their families, to promote Remembrance and to service our communities and our country.”

From our events over the past 8 years, we have now raised and donated over $68,000 to local charities & youth programs, that have included Leduc Hub Hope for Homeless, Leduc Giants Minor Baseball, Riseup Society Alberta, Autism Society Alberta and our annual contribution to the "Biggs Kids" Foundation.

ALL PROCEEDS from our event raffles have gone directly to these causes, and were are very excited to carry this on into the 2021 season (however it may be).

AMP'T Events Group would also like to thank our Premiere Partners, with special shout out's to Donnie Fillenberg and his staff at Evolution Sports Excellence, the City of Leduc, Mitchell and his crew at The Canadian Brewhouse, Mico's Liquorstore, Urban Vinyl Signage, Phoenix Fence, Kosmos Restaurant & Lounge, Leduc Co-op Liquor and of course Slo-Pitch National Alberta for all their contributions and support of our events all these years!

Slo-Pitch National announces new event for 2021 Nationals Weekend!

The 2021 Miller Lite Slo-Pitch Challenge will take place July 30 – August 2, 2021 across Canada. The event will be hosted in Kelowna, Leduc, Winnipeg, Brampton and Moncton with possible additional cities to be added in the coming months.

The decision to create a unique event to replace the 2021 Nationals is the result of the many contributing factors associated with the COVID-19 pandemic across Canada. Many regions are currently impacted with strict travel restrictions, among other things, making it impossible for teams to consider attending a championship far away from their province this summer. With so many factors to consider, it was important for Slo-Pitch National to work on the necessary changes that would allow us to come closer to our teams and basically bring a championship style event with more divisions to more locations.

Based on the recovery in the months ahead, it may be possible for teams from neighbouring regions to attend. Those teams interested, please contact the host/ convenor of the event to discuss participation. It may be necessary to alter or cancel events based on the pandemic situation in specific regions.
