Wishing you a BOOtiful Hallow's Eve!
Don't let the monster under the bed BITE.
Or do... If that's what you're into. 😏

The Witches of BLOOMDIGGITY
Ever wonder why your florist doesn't offer you a bag around your flowers in the warmer months?
Well, gather round for story time!
We bag things in winter to keep the heat in, ensuring your flowers have the smoothest transition possible between heated spaces and the cold winter air which can freeze flowers quite quickly.
In the summer months, keeping heat in is no longer a concern (especially these days, amiright?). In FACT, it is more likely to shorten the lifespan of your flowers. Once flowers are cut we do our best to preserve them, which means they fare much better in cooler air and shady spaces.
BUT WHAT ABOUT THE WIND, you say?
Well... Lethbridge is a tricky spot because of how powerful our wind gusts can be. It SOUNDS like a good idea to bag it and keep the wind away from the flowers, protecting their delicate stems and petals. Instead, all you really have is a piece of plastic that is given free reign to take all of its pent up rage and frustrations out on your beautiful flowers.
Dudley has never once trusted a plastic bag and we can see why. 👀
So! When it comes to cut flowers in the summer months, just let it all hang out, dudes! Ahhh, refreshing. 🌸
No, not you. I said the flowers. Just the flowers. Gonna get called out for public indecency over here.
Announcing ourselves as one of the florists in the @calgarystampede 's upcoming @fleursdevilles has us grinnin' like a possum eatin' a sweet tater!

The flowers were actually from her husband (*gasp!* drama!!), buuuuut Dudley didn't really get that memo.
He also didn't get the memo about not causing his Mom to nearly drop the bouquet upon seeing his girlfriend. 🙄
Young love. Whatcha gonna do?

Yeah.... just your friendly florist reminder that Admin Day is Wednesday. THIS WEDNESDAY. Mmmk?
Hey SPRING! Where'd ya go?! 😅😂
Sometimes in retail... It be like that.
I'd like to say that in nearly 10 years of business we've never had a complaint, buuuut. That would be some straight up BS.
Does it happen often? Thankfully not! All we want you to know is:
We actually ARE happy you called to tell us.
We actually WANT to find a way to make it better.
We are NOT trying to pawn sad flowers off on you.
Because...
🌟 When you call us, it gives us the opportunity to offer solutions on how to make you happy, as well as find out why what happened, happened (and if possible, put measures in place to avoid future incidents).
🌟 Why would we not want you happy? One, we're pretty nice people. And two, we'd kinda like you to come back and tell your friends about us. It's a win win really.
🌟 Finally, florists deal primarily in perishable goods. Goods where so much can happen from the time they leave the farm to the time they get to us, and then, from the time they get to you. We don't sell "old" flowers at a discount for a reason -- we want you to enjoy quality products every time. But with perishable goods there can be unexpected surprises, it's just part of it unfortunately.
P.S. If you just need to get some of that angst energy out, tell us at the start of the call. We will absolutely verbally spar* with you, and then act like the amazing, kind, authentic beings we are at the end. ✌️
*At minimum we will try. It might kinda be like awkward, forced dirty talk. Most of us here tend to shy away from confrontation and cry when truly upset. 😅 It's super frustrating.
Don't make people who work in retail cry. Don't make people cry, period.
In the words of Yzma: "Welp! They ain't gettin' any deader! Back to work!"
Goodbyes can be so hard... Thankfully the rest of the flowers were all beautiful!
