Free Fitness Skating 2025! Free Skating January and February during our open skates.
This program is supported through a partnership with the Nova Scotia Government, Department of Communities, Culture Tourism and Heritage through the Active Communities fund.

All skaters 18 years of age and under are REQUIRED to wear a CSA approved helmet on the ice surface. It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that all skaters, regardless of age, wear a CSA approved helmet at all times while on the ice surface. Failure to wear recommended protective equipment while using the facility is at your own risk.
Children 12 years and under MUST be supervised in the arena by a parent or designate adult during public skates.

as times are subject to change. Any weekend skates maybe added last minute.
Free skate and helmet loaner program available. Limited sizes and quantities available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Youth and adult skate aids available.

Being active in Winter has some challenges! The multi purpose indoor track at Queens Place Emera Centre is open daily providing a warm, dry, level surface to walk or run, and is accessible. Track use is FREE through until March 31, 2025, courtesy of Council of Region of Queens Municipality. Slip on your clean indoor shoes, and stop in! Hours are: Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. A sign in table and a guest book for comments are in the lobby by the stairs.

NO WEIGHTS REQUIRED! Introducing the TORQUE TANK.
Thanks to the Tanks' magnetic breaking system, added weight is not needed to increase your workout difficulty. Resistance rules the day!
There are 3 training levels,:1 for speed & power, 2 for acceleration & power and 3 for explosive power. The runway is restricted in length. Use it wisely!
With internal resistance sleds its' not the number of resistance levels its' the level of resistance provided...the faster you push the harder it gets.
NOTE: The Tank is currently restricted to use in the Studio, Trainer instruction is required prior to use. ASK US!

Jim & Margaret Sapp Community Room
Overlooking the arena, this multi-purpose room features a kitchen and bar area and can accommodate near 100 patrons in a full room setting. The room may be divided into an A and B side. WIFI available.

The facility has had an extensive resume in event hosting over the years: trade shows & concerts national & world curling and even played host to Hockey Canada. Day to day activity includes the indoor arena track We are home to a variety of local user groups including Queens County Blades, QCMHA & Western Hurricanes. A great place to promote your business.

Sobey Boardroom Rentals
The boardroom located in the lobby features seating for up to 15. A small kitchenette is available. Washrooms are nearby .A large whiteboard is available. WIFI is free and use the in room monitor to display presentations!
