It's been so fun being back in the kitchen. No, Yoda's Kitchen isn't re-opening 😅 (but it's nice to be missed!!)

This take on Shepherd's Pie was such a hit. Creamy mashed potatoes with , sweet and smokey cider glaze, and a lentil loaf that will blow your mind... think: grated apple, raisins, walnuts, mushrooms, onion, and lentils all slow simmered and baked with Dad's tomatoes and veggie stock.

Question: if I put this on my Christmas menu, would you be into that?

The little green chef is back in the kitchen today for a very special catering. 😍 It's my first time catering in over a year and I'm full of nerves and excitement. Feeling incredibly blessed and grateful and excited to get back into the swing today!! Wish me luck 🥰

A few of my American clients have asked about my shirt today and I've had some beautiful, hard conversations and reckonings.

I hope everyone can take a moment today to send deep love to all Indigenous people and their families today, as lots of memories are in sure coming up for a lot of people today.

If you're not wearing an orange shirt, there are plenty of others ways to be involved and to care. 🧡 Reach out to your Indigenous friends, ask about what to read at your local library, watch a documentary, or participate in events.

Dad is always growing new things. This year, his pride and joy this year was this Snake Squash! Most similar to a zucchini, the skin of these gourds is super thin and the flesh is really mild, perfect for grilling. The longest this year was over five feet, and I think you can tell from his smile, he's pretty proud 🥰

Still thinking of the absolute amazing time we had on the east coast last month! Highlight of was eating at a very cute little gastropub called and all the awesome mocktails we tried! Highlight of New Brunswick was seeing my Moncton angels for dinner and brunch! Highlight of PEI was being gifted dinner at and sharing lots of quality time with and - sooo much good food and talks. 💕

One way to support local businesses when you're traveling is to leave Google reviews...especially if you loved the experience! One spot I want to give a shout out to from my adventure is (Brass Shop location!)

The service was so friendly and the latte was bang on. I recommend a seat on the patio to people/dog watch!!

Honestly one of the things I'm most excited for with this Mother's Day menu is making cheese and charcuterie platters again 😅

My friend Pedro passed away this weekend. I will never forget meeting him, and the impact he had on my life. 💕 We met the night of my 30th birthday, in a small town in Portugal when life was really hard and confusing. I dedicated an entire chapter to Pedro in my book, and a recipe for his Orange Cake can be found on page 258. 🍊 It's not very often you meet someone who changes your life the way Pedro changed mine. I am so grateful for this story, and all the others. I'm remembering him today with lots of fondness, and sadness. 💙
