It's getting hot out there!
Environment Canada has declared a Heat warning as a prolonged heat event will begin today. Dangerously hot and humid conditions are expected through most of the week.
Daytime highs through much of the week are expected to be 30 to 35 degrees Celsius with humidex values of 40 to 45,
Hot and humid air can also bring deteriorating air quality and can result in the Air Quality Health Index approaching the high-risk category.
Wear cool clothes, Stay hydrated, and avoid strenuous activity this week, if you need to get anywhere, call Checker, and ride in style in our air-conditioned cars!

Our team at Checker has some fantastic Admin staff who work tirelessly to ensure our customers receive the best possible service, and our drivers and brokers receive the support and assistance they need daily to execute their best service!
Our dispatchers Joelle Burden, Dana Alexander, Sandra Bishop, Mohammed Kaiyum, and Shambo Banerjee all work together to ensure our operation runs smoothly, from answering phones and booking calls, and managing driver concerns in real time!
Michelle Lupson our Checker Support and Administrative staff, works behind the scenes to ensure we have brokers, organize training and support for drivers and dispatchers, manage customer relations, and so many more admin-related tasks to keep us running smoothly and efficiently!
We're so thankful for our whole team, and how well they all work together, we couldn't do it without you folks!

Tonight is the start of daylight savings time! Tonight the clocks 'Spring forward' and we lose an hour of sleep! Sunday at 2 am, the clocks all jump forward to 3 am, so ensure you set any clocks ahead before you go to bed; you won't want to show up an hour late to things on Sunday!
It's also the best time to check your Smoke detectors and CO2 detectors too if you have them!
