Sponsorship: Raising dollars for your business or event is always important. There are many companies looking to crack the market and willing to sponsor teams, events and organizations to help grow their business. Our team will help develop strategies and programs to help everyone win. Event Management: So many people and organizations want to run events but don’t realize the tim
e involved in doing so. Event management starts from building an idea to following through at the end of the event. Our group will help people and organizations take their event from the ground up, one block at a time. Ticketing: Teams and organizations are always looking to increase attendance to drive revenue but often don’t allocate the resources behind it. Our team will help analyze your ticketing practices and look at building solutions to help you sell out your next event. Media: This is an all-encompassing term that includes engaging your brand on media (digital or television) to media training for teams and organizations. With our vast network within the media industry, we will help you ensure that your people are ready for when the media comes knocking. Licensing: With so many knick-knacks and apparel companies out on the market, it is easy to find someone to throw a very inexpensive product to a client. Our job is to avoid going “cheap” by connecting your brand to the “right” product to make you look sharp and stand out. Our team will build retail presence and sales through licensing programs, rights negotiations, market research and strategic consulting. Graphic Design: If you look good, you feel good and can do great things! The challenge is teams and organizations often lack the time and resources to put the effort into making their product look great. Our team will work with clients to help them make a work of art so they will stand out among the crowd.

A special thank you to Peter T. Kourtis of the Greater Toronto Hockey League for speaking with my Humber College Sport Management students on the subject recruitment and retention of officials. His insights and advice were excellent! A lot of sport leagues could learn from their best practices.
Following COVID, the GTHL lost 35% of officials. Today, they are almost back to pre-COVID levels thanks to new and innovative methods of recruitment and retention!

I had a great time today at the York Sport Business Club Sport, Media and Entertainment Career Fair at Schulich School of Business - York University. Thanks to Vijay Setlur and his team for organizing this event.
My intern team was a great help at my table talking about projects they helped me with this year. It also really nice to catch up with former students in the Humber College Sport Business program and see how successful they are in their careers!

The Building Blocks Group proudly welcomes Tanish Thakur and Mann Singh Chandi to our team as a Marketing Interns.
Tanish is a vibrant Sport Management student at Humber College pursuing his dream of a career in the sport business and marketing industry.
He discovered his passion for soccer and various sports at a noticeably early age when he joined the school soccer team and was elected Captain due to his dedication, skill, ability to mobilize other teammates and resilience even when they lost a few matches.
Tanish is a witty, joyful, and social person that has participated in several talent shows since he enjoys dancing and expressing himself. Helping and giving back to the community is something that he has thrived throughout his life.
Mann is a 20-year-old Humber College student majoring in Sport Management and is pursuing his ambition of working in sports business and marketing.
Mann’s passion for sport started young when he was 11 years old. By the age of 14, debuted in track cycling competitions where he won two national gold medals. Since then, Mann continued his journey in the sport of professionally cycling in India.
In Highschool, Mann majored in Humanities and Physical Education while he worked with his state’s cycling association as a Track Official. He also received his undergraduate degree in Humanities from Punjabi University, Patiala, India and worked as a volunteer at the National Institute of Sports, Patiala, which is one of the biggest hubs of sports in India.
