I dug out this peony 20 years ago, hours before the new owners took possession of my family home. I was desperate for something of my mom’s, something with longevity. Every spring she is the first to bloom, so reliable, so beautiful. Soon peony season will be in full swing at the farm and the stand will be FULL of these luscious blooms 🥹🌸

I am NOT a risk taker!! I like to play it safe!! 🌸 Flower farming is not without risks! Planning to have specific flowers bloom for Mother’s Day (tulips, ranuculus, anemone, sunflowers) is a definite gamble 🤞🌻
🚫Not everything has worked out the way I imagined, but there is still a lot of beautiful blooms coming out of the field, mostly on time to honour our mamas. 🥹🌸💐
