Manilla Community Hall

Manilla Community Hall Manilla Community Hall is located in Manilla, Ontario Canada. We have been bringing the community together since 1945 south of Hwy 7 in Manilla, Ontario.

It is available for rental for meetings, parties, community events, sports clubs and more by visiting the Township of Brock website. The Manilla Community Hall has held many family celebrations throughout more than 50 years in the community; we’ve hosted dances, field days, tournament level baseball, dog training classes, senior’s exercises even weddings and anniversaries. We are planning on creat

ing new traditions with more activities while still keeping it as a community meeting place. Some of the upcoming fundraising events are at the Manilla Hall; we are having a Bar-B-Que with a Yard/Bake sale and Children's Activities on Saturday September 28 from 10-3 and a Pie Sale Friday and Saturday of Thanksgiving Weekend. We are enthusiastically fundraising and attracting ideas for creative uses of the Manilla Community Hall in order to keep the doors open for our community. October 2025 Newsletter

Hi everyone,
October brings all the beautiful colours of fall. The calendar says
that fall started on September 22 but we know it starts when the frost comes and we have to bring in all the plants and vegetables that can't stand the frost. But it is a great time to go for a drive and enjoy the colours of the changing leaves. Take time to enjoy all the
seasons, I think summer all year would be so boring! In October we
always look forward to getting family together for Thanksgiving and to enjoy the fruits of our labours through the growing season.

October 10 is our Thanksgiving Pie Sale! from 3:00 pm until sold
out. This is one of our fundraisers for the Hall. This year we will be
putting up our price by $2.00 to $14.00 like everyone else has to do. This is where we meet a lot of our friends and neighbours each year.

October 16 is Food For Thought from 10:00 AM -1:00 PM. Our speakers this month are Jocelyn Enright from the Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre telling us how to recognize abuse and how to intervene, then Lisa Loader from Kawartha Lakes Legal Clinic telling us when and where help is available and followed by Angela Fornelli with a surprise.
Admission $10.00. Please RSVP to Anne at 705 357 3637

October 25 is Children's Halloween Party 2025! from 10:00 AM –12:30 with games, activities and treats for everyone. $5.00 per child and volunteers are always welcome. Please RSVP to their website at here: https://forms.gle/QgFBGLYEvNw3hdzPA

October 26 is Fiddle Jam from 1:00 -5:00 PM with great
fiddle music, all types of dancing, prizes and open mic too with all
kinds of music and entertainment. And a good time is had by all.
Admission is still $5.00.

Hey, neighbours!

This Saturday, we're hosting our annual Manilla Hall Plant & Yard Sale at the Hall from 8:30 AM until everything's gone!

🪴 What can you expect?

🌱 Lots of local plants, flowers & garden treasures

🧺 Gently used household items & clothing

🎁 Unique finds for every corner of your home

💚 Why it matters:
All proceeds support our beloved Manilla Hall. Plus, any unsold items will be donated to Thrift Hub in Cannington. It's a win-win for our community and the planet! 🌍💚

🤝 How you can help:

Donate: Have items to contribute? Drop them off at the hall on Friday between 5–7 PM. If that doesn't work, just let us know, and we'll arrange another time!

Volunteer: Our team is a tad lean this weekend due to some health issues and I could be giving birth any day now! 🫄 So we could use a couple extra hands with setup on Friday evening or during the sale on Saturday morning. If you're available, we'd love your support! 🙏

Let's make this event a blooming success! 😉🌸 See you there! 💚

-Leah

Hello! I'm popping in to let everyone know it's that cyclical time that happens every few years where our teen volunteers have the nerve to grow up and get jobs! Imagine. Lol
We are looking for a new crop of teens...any age...mostly they help w children's parties, decorating and helping w crafts and with other events here at the Hall. We are also looking for someone the 4th Sunday of the month to help sell tickets at the Fiddle Jam. It's a good opportunity to give your kids a chance to see REAL cash and make simple change. I'm hearing more and more that kids aren't using cash much anymore. They can stay for an hour or two depending on their schedules.
Lastly we are looking for someone to help plan the Halloween party. They just need to help plan the crafts and activities.
