The ESSO cup is a friendly, tri club, competition between Manitowaning, Mindemoya & Providence Bay that spans back many years. Each club puts together two teams, and you must win as a club!

The curling season is quickly approaching! Our annual general meeting (AGM) will be at the curling club on November 15th @ 7p.m.

Well another year of curling is in the books. I would like to thanks all the volunteers and curlers who’ve made this such a successful year.

Assiginack Curling Club hosted their mixed bonspiel March 17-19 in memory of Jeanette Allen and George Pennie. We had a great weekend with fantastic competition.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks!

On March 1st, Manitowaning hosted Providence for the second game of the Hindman - winning team: Steve Orford rink of Providence Bay.

March 3-4 was Manitowaning Ladies bonspiel! It was a very groovy 1960’s themed weekend.
1st place: Pennie rink. Sandra Pennie, Connie Still, Janice Bowerman and Lisa Hallaert.
2nd place: Case rink. Cathy Case, Mandy Case, Margot Bickell and Judy Trimmer.
3rd place: Proulx rink. Marilyn Proulx, Sue Whynott, Heather Hall and Lori Clarke.

March 7, Manitowaning hosted the ESSO cup between Manitowaning, Mindemoya and Providence Bay. The winning club was Providence Bay and their teams were comprised of: Bert and Lucie Gauthier, Dave and Bev McDermid, Agnus and Pat MacDonald, Ellen Holroyd and John Novak.
