and fun for the whole family all-year round! We opened in 2008 as franchised Color Me Mine studio, and became Crafty Pots in 2018 as a fully independent studio with more activities and lower prices. Come and enjoy quality time, with the family or friends, or just to enjoy some "me" time. Share some creativity, and make something nice for yourself while you're at it. If you feel artistically challenged, our staff wil be happy to help you get started. Find us on Markham Main Street North, part of Markham Road/Hw.48 between Hw 7 and 16th avenue with easy and free parking right behind the studio or on the street

There is no studio fee, and the ceramics painting experience starts around $24 with the majority of the items between $28 and $35 plus tax, all individually prized. The painted ceramics are typically ready for pickup 5-7 days later.

March Break is almost here and we’re just as excited as all the kids! We can’t wait to see everyone again, having a great time at Crafty Pots. We aim to have the best selection in the entire GTA and great prices. A whole lot of awesome new pieces are already on the shelves for you to choose.

Seating is first come, first served. We have added additional tables to the already large studio, so come on in. We do not do reservations, sorry.

During March Break we'll be open at 11 am, and starting Thursday March 16 you will enjoy a repeat visit discount of 10% on ceramics if you’ve already painted on Sat Mar 11 or later.

As a special treat, each group will get a coupon for a cookie or a small ice cream to be redeemed at the lovely local Cats Meow cafe around the corner on Robinson Street during March Break. Limit one per group/table.

During March Break we unfortunately cannot offer glass fusing or board art due to space constraints. Glow in the dark is unavailable because we've unexpectedly run out of glow paint, sorry.

Pottery wheel throwing is only possible if you are experienced and require no instruction at all, only for max 4, and only if staff feels able, sorry. A few hours advance notice is required.

It’s probably no surprise that discounts cannot be combined, and the repeat visit discount can’t be claimed during the same day. Other restrictions may apply, please ask in the studio.

The scramble for an activity tomorrow is over! Drop the kids off from 9 am to 1 pm on Monday Nov 7. We'll start off with glow in the dark ornament painting and finish with leaf impression painting on a large canvas to celebrate the fall.

Each child paints one 16x20" canvas with colourful leaf imprints, and two round ornament bulbs with glow in the dark paints and will be able to take everything home the same day.

The day will start with a warmup period with games and gettogether. There will be a 30 minute snack break around lunch time so pack a light peanut free snack.

Cost is $50 per person plus tax and children 6 year old and older are accepted.

There are 20 spots available. The painters must wear "art clothes" as it's possible they'll get paint on their clothes.

I love most parts of my job, but not this one... the disposal of painted things that were never picked up. We have room to store pieces longer than most other studios, at least six monts, often a year but eventually they have to go. We make every effort to reach people, we call at minimum four times and email if we have the address. Why arent't these picked up you may ask.. Well, in many cases the customers move, change phone number and forget about the items, or just don't want them, perhaps it was a date that didn't work out and they don't want the reminder, perhaps they just wanted the painting experience but not the finished items. Whatever the reason, it kinda breaks my heart to throw these out.... If you see something you like, come on in Sunday July 3 and pick it up no charge. By Monday they're gone 😭

These lovely yarn bowls were made on our pottery wheels 😍 FIrst they were turned into bowls on the pottery wheel and after 24 hours of drying the design was carved and they went right into the oven, I just couldn’t wait. 🤩 Come on in to paint these or make your own, classes Wednesday, Friday and Saturday

Ever wonder how your artwork becomes so beautiful and shiny, and what happens after you leave it with us? This is how our largest electric oven is loaded, layer by layer. Your artwork spends 36 hours in the oven! 😲😍

Opening the kiln

Opening the kiln is always such a great experience 😍🥰🎉 This is just the top layer, there are two layers below with beatiful things created by YOU! I feel privileged being the first to see them :-)

24 hours later we're greeted by this blast of colour and it's impossible not to be amazed by the change. Right now we probably have at least one kiln every three days so come on in, paint something and have fun 😍

A kiln is a kind of magic box 😍 This is what things look like before baking. The blue material is the clear glaze we apply before the baking to make sure everything becomes smooth and shiny. We have four kilns, two like this one, one almost double the size and a cute small kiln we use for glass projects. The next video shows what these things look like 24 hours later 💖 It really is a kind of magic!

It's amazing how time flies, this is the last of the seven summer camp weeks, all super successful with so many happy kids 😀 Thank You to every one of you 😍 This last week is Wizard Art Camp, and we're doing Harry Potter themed string art on boards with glow in the dark backgrounds - be sure to turn on the sound 👍

Glow it up at Crafty Pots

It's so good to have parties again 😍, just look at this awesome little Glo-Up party 🤩 staying under the 10 occupant limit, masking up and all. You can book your own party (painting, slime, board art or Glo-Up) parties Saturday and Sunday morning 10 am to noon. At this point we cannot do parties in the afternoon on weekends because of the 10 occupant limit.
