This week and until the end of October we will continue the theme of the creepy crawlies or really more the world of small things.

We believe this creature to be a Violet Oil Beetle. They have a number of stages to their life cycle from the normal stages of larva, nymph and imago. First stage larva are known to eat bee eggs, continuing to eat honey and nectar as it moves through different phases of development.
