BACK TO SCHOOL EVENT - Family Literacy Day in The Park 🌳 AUGUST 24th - 11AM - 2PM - QE PARK - Downtown Newcastle
Summer is slipping into a new crisp fall but before it does, we'd love to host you and your families once more this summer in our beautiful Queen Elizabeth park for Family Literacy Day!
📕THE DAY INCLUDES:
⭐️AMBER WALLS playing LIVE in the park
⭐️INFLATABLE SLIDE - everyone's favourite giant Rainbow Slide!
⭐️BALLOON MAN - every kid gets a balloon from Ian!
⭐️COTTON CANDY KIDS - these guys are looking sharp these days, come say hi and check out their newest flavours!
⭐️GIANT CAKE - it's not a party unless there's cake!
⭐️A STORY WALK around the park - featuring If I Had a Gryphon by Vikki VanSickle.
⭐️STORY TIME at 12:30pm.
⭐️ACTIVITY STATIONS by the Newcastle Library
• Sight Word Soccer: pylons with simple sight words are placed in a circle. Someone calls out the word and the child tries to hit the corresponding pylon.
• Find and Rhyme Gross Motor Skills Game: children must find the hidden frisbees that have words on them. Once the frisbees are found, they then pair the rhyming words and try to get them into the corresponding hoops.
• Giant scrabble.
• Sensory Table.

What is a story walk?
A StoryWalk® is a fun, educational activity that places a children's story (literally a book taken apart) along a popular walking route in your community - which for this event, will be around Queen Elizabeth Park.

Today we help celebrate at the Baie St. Anne Community Centre and Bonar Law Commons.
Tomorrow we are back home for the party at Waterford Green! What a great chance to try out some of our inflatables for free, as well as indulge in a pretty amazing culture. See you all there!

LIVE MUSIC & INFLATABLE SLIDE in Queen E Park - JULY 13th! 11 am - 3 pm - Grab the kids, bring a lawn chair, picnic blanket and snacks, or pick up lunch and use the park benches or tables; stay awhile!
