Happy 57th Anniversary Ron and Lloyd!

February 3rd marks a monumental milestone for two people who have been a constant presence in my life since 1997. Over the years, you’ve not only supported me but welcomed Michael into our circle with open arms and hearts. It’s hard to put into words all that you’ve taught us—about love, resilience, and the importance of celebrating each other every single day.

We are in awe of your nearly 60 years together, your countless dinners, trips, swims, tough conversations, and the way you’ve been there for us during the hardest moments—whether it was offering a shoulder to cry on, a kind word, nights of guttural laughter, or simply being a steady presence. You’ve shared in our joys and sorrows, and those moments will forever be treasured.

Having you both by our side in our wedding party and walking down the aisle with us in 2016, and then hosting our reception at your home, is a memory we will never forget. The love you show us has been a constant reminder of what it means to truly love and be loved.

Thank you for opening your hearts to the 20-year-old boy who needed guidance—and sometimes a little tough love. Thank you for putting up with me during my not-so-great moments, and for always reminding us of how proud you are of us and our marriage. You have taught Michael and to have patience and respect for each other.

We love you both so much. Here’s to many more years of love, laughter, and memories. Our promise is to be an example of everything you’ve taught us.

Reflecting…

2024 was a year filled with heartwarming experiences for The Marry Men. We had the privilege of collaborating with some of the kindest couples, passionate vendors, and incredible venue teams who welcomed us with open arms. Together, we created unforgettable moments and shared beautiful stories.

We’ve always believed in magic, and this year reinforced that belief. The magical moments we’ve experienced have set a high bar for us, shaping who we are and what we stand for. At our core, we are storytellers, and we believe that couples deeply in love deserve a narrative that truly reflects the many adventures they’ve shared.

2024’s many moments reminded us that we only want to work with people who inspire us. The wedding industry can be tricky, and we don’t have room for anything less than stellar. We’re committed to bringing the wow factor, and we expect the same from our colleagues and the couples we work with. We are thankful to work with some of the best people in the industry.

Meet ELIZABETH and DANIEL!

They’re getting married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

In August 2020, Elizabeth and Daniel turned an initial online connection into the first of many dates, and they haven’t looked back since.

“I look forward to seeing how our relationship will mature and change throughout the many stages of life,” Elizabeth shared.

“And going through the good and bad together,” Daniel added, “which will bring the best out of me and the best out of her.”

“You’re simply the best, better than all the rest!” Elizabeth and Daniel will tell each other this weekend when they exchange personal vows in the company of their family, friends, and favourite faces.

Meet CARLY and MERRICK!

They’re getting married next week and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

Carly and Merrick met nine years ago in November 2015. With a little encouragement from their friends Megan and Zach, a month later - on December 30 - Carly and Merrick officially began dating.

“We all started hanging out as a group,” Carly shared, “and didn’t even realize they’d been setting us up for weeks!”

Weeks turned into months and months turned into years until Merrick decided it was time to turn those years into a lifetime and asked Carly to join him on that journey on a wintry weekend in March.

“I used a snowstorm to my advantage,”
Merrick admitted.

A New Year’s Eve wedding next week will usher these newlyweds into a New Year of continued joy and merriment as they begin the next thrilling chapter of their story.

“I’m committed to building a life with Carly that is full of happiness, love, and shared moments in new and familiar places,” Merrick shared.

“I’m looking forward to traveling and having adventures together,” Carly confided.

“Something old, something new…”

Meet JACQUELINE and MARK!
They’re getting married next week and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

Jackie and Mark met four years ago when they thought, “You might be the one” in 2021. They admitted, “It’s just me and you” in 2022 which Mark followed up with a “Marry me?” in 2023. Then in 2024, Jackie and Mark confessed, “I could not love you more.” Next week, they will ring in the new year with a promise of “Our love will thrive in 2025…” and beyond!

A whole new journey awaits this beautiful couple and we can’t wait to join them on the walk down the aisle.

“I just look forward to the fun we’ll have,” Mark shared. “There’s something about her where she just helps me relax and laugh. So I’m just looking forward to all our time together, whether we are out in the world or just sitting at home.“

“I can’t wait to explore life with him,” Jackie told us. “I’m excited to share life’s milestones with the best partner I could ever imagine. We have many places to travel and many obstacles to overcome. I get to do it all with my Number One.”

A Love Letter to Cooking Together🍴Afterall the Couples that Cook Together....

As many of you know, we are HUGE fans of ! We PVR and watch all his shows, especially his holiday episodes. For over a year, we’ve been collecting his cookbooks, from ordering online, to gifts from friends, to treasure hunting at yard sales and bookshops we find in the many towns we visit to marry couples. We are so excited to share that we’re now only a few copies away from completing our library!

What we love most about Jamie Oliver’s recipes is their simplicity. Every dish we’ve tried delivers exactly what he promises: affordable, delicious meals with incredible ingredients, all done in a way that doesn’t take over your evening. 🥘

Michael and I have decided to embark on a delicious new project: organizing Jamie’s cookbooks in order—from the very first to the latest one “Simply Jamie” we picked up yesterday—selecting recipes that resonate with us and cooking our way through them. Starting this evening with the recipe (pictured above)

With our days, nights and weekends packed, while building The Marry Men Wedding Officiants, we’re “VOWING” to carve out time to:

Meet STEPHANIE and JASON!

They’re getting married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

Stephanie and Jason first met for a coffee date in late 2016. They brewed up quite the conversation and discovered just how much they enjoyed each other’s company.

It was during one of their annual visits to the Christmas Market in the Distillery District that Jason was really inspired by the season of “comfort and joy” and decided he wanted to be the gift that kept on giving — an a lifetime together as husband and wife.

On October 1, 2023, Jason said “Will you?” and Stephanie said “YES!”

“I can’t wait to experience all of the ‘firsts’ with my best friend and soulmate,” Stephanie shared, “and knowing that this is just the beginning of so much more. I’m so excited to know that I’ll have someone in my life as patient and kind as Jason is whenever I get home.”

Home really is where the heart is, and in one another, Stephanie and Jason have discovered a home for each of their hearts.

“She is already where I feel the most at home, and I can’t wait to build a home with her together,” Jason told us. “I can’t wait to start this next chapter together.”

“He’s my person and I can’t wait to have that feeling forever.”

Meet ERIN and MICHAEL!

Erin and Michael first met as teenagers while playing baseball in May 2014.
It wasn’t until they were playing on the same team that they “hit it out of the park.”

“At the time we were still in high school, and when I realized the level of trust and comfort I felt to be be able to open up to her, I knew that she was my person and that I wanted to marry her,” Michael confided.

Michael set that ball in motion by proposing to Erin during the Thanksgiving Day long weekend on October 9, 2022 - the day after Erin’s birthday — during a walk through Guildwood Park and Gardens.

“I proposed on Thanksgiving so that our engagement could always overshadow that day,” Michael admitted.

Both Erin and Michael have so much to be thankful for.

“I feel so lucky that I met Michael so young because I have had the privilege of falling in love with every version of him, Erin told us. “I am truly looking forward to every little bit of living that Michael and I will get to do together.”
