Meet MEGAN and GRAHAM!

They’re getting married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

Megan and Graham met seven lucky years ago at a Halloween housewarming haunt hosted by Graham.

“We barely spoke that night,” Megan admitted.

They would see each other again at a friends’ Christmas party, where they briefly chatted, but, didn’t completely get lost in conversation.

They would have to wait until the following April, before a friendship really started to take shape. With a little nudge from their mutual friend, Amanda, the pieces started to fall together for Megan and Graham.

And in the fall of 2021, during a family photo session, Graham fell to one knee and asked Megan to fall in love with him all over again by asking her to be his wife.

“I can’t wait to continue growing our life together and watch our kids grow up,” Megan shared.

“I’ve never been on a cruise or travelled to very many places,” Graham added, “so visiting them with her and the kids would be awesome.”

Many new adventures await Megan and Graham, and it all starts this weekend!

Meet CHLOE and AUSTIN!

They’re getting married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

Chloe and Austin first met when they were in Grade 3, having attended the same elementary school.

It took a few years and a whole lot of growing up before they reunited in high school and really started learning…about one another.

“I realized I liked him when we would frequently walk home together and could chat about anything,” Chloe shared.

It was Austin who got up enough nerve to ask Chloe out during one of their walks.

“Thankfully, she said YES,” Austin confided, “and I was so happy we could try this ‘relationship thing’ together.”

The “relationship thing” was a success and a few years later, during a holiday to Kyoto, Japan, Austin found the perfect place to propose.

“She looked genuinely surprised,” Austin recalls, “and admitted that she had no clue I was going to ask, which made the moment all the more intimate and special to us.”

“I’m looking forward to taking our next steps together and developing our futures,” Chloe shared. “I’m looking forward to creating new traditions together, travelling together, and eventually taking steps to start our family when we’re ready. I’m ready to embrace life with him by my side.”

“I just can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her,” Austin added.

The wait is almost over!

In just a few days, Chloe and Austin will walk down the aisle, exchange vows, and embark on the journey of a lifetime.

How do Reverend Jason and Reverend Michael decide who gets to officiate your wedding ceremony?

Thumb wars? Nope.
Rock, paper, scissors? Not quite.
Flip a coin? Not even close.

The truth? We tackle each other to see who’s left standing!

All jokes aside, our process is much more personal. From the moment we meet you, we’re on this journey together. Often there’s a natural “a-ha” moment where either you—or we—just know who feels right to officiate your wedding.

No matter who you have standing up there with you, here’s what you can count on: we’re both working side-by-side on every detail of your ceremony. From your custom quotes, emails, and follow-ups, to your ceremony breakdown, vows, music selections, witness roles, and wedding party formations—we’ve been talking about you.

A Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday for us? It’s usually filled with conversations about our couples, those goosebump-worthy a-ha moments, the happy tears after a meaningful call, and the laughter you share with us.

At the end of the day, whether it’s Reverend Michael or Reverend Jason officiating, you can be certain we’re ready to tell one unforgettable story—your story. A story as unique as the journey that brought you to your wedding day.

Ready to create a wedding ceremony that’s heartfelt, memorable, and completely you? Let The Marry Men Wedding Officiants tell your story. Visit us at www.themarrymen.ca to get started.

Meet JESSICA and MATTHEW!

They’re getting married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story!

“I knew Jessica for quite a while as I was working at Mattamy Homes and she was working for her family flooring business,” Matthew told us.

So in 2019, an on-site pre-construction meeting brought Jessica and Matthew face-to-face for the first time.

Sparks flew immediately and all the pieces started falling into place. The following summer, they were “coincidently” seated next to one another at a Blue Jays game.
By 2022, Jessica and Matthew were dating, and a year later they were engaged in Positano, Italy.

“I’ll never forget when I put that ring on her finger and saw her reaction,” Matthew told us. “It was the best thing ever!”

“I look forward to growing with him, creating more memories, and never-ending laughter,”
Jessica shared. “There’s no doubt in my mind that he will be the best husband and most amazing father to our kids.”

Matthew, too, is excited about “starting a family, continued vacations, endless laughs, and chats together over a glass of wine!”

This weekend, family and friends will toast Jessica and Matthew as they become newlyweds and embrace their boldest building project yet — their marriage!

We’re so happy to help put in the foundation.

Meet ANNECY and DAVIS!

They’re getting married next weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

Annecy and Davis met online in July 2021 and a month later they were enjoying a sushi picnic in Sunnyside Park followed by a walk along the shores of Lake Ontario.

“We walked over the Humber Bay bridge and spoke about our goals in life, our favourite food spots in the city, and our travels,” Annecy shared.

Travels that have taken them to Taiwan and Peru, where in October 2024, Davis was determined to sweep Annecy off her feet and right up a mountain.

“The beginning of that journey did not look great,” Davis admitted. “It was cold and wet, and I almost called it off given the conditions.”

But they persevered and made it to the summit where the skies cleared, the sun came up, and Davis got down on one knee to propose.

“We’re probably like many couples in their late 20s in the city,” Annecy admitted. “We like to explore new restaurants, hang out with our cat Miso, and travel the world.”

Travels that will include a honeymoon in Tanzania, then a jaunt to Japan in the spring of 2026.

“Our continued travel is just one of the things I am looking forward to,” Davis shared, “along with supporting each other through both our careers and continuing to build our home to be a warm gathering place for friends and family.”

Meet NATALEE and BRIAN!

They’re getting married next weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

It was April 2020 when Natalee and Brian successfully matched on the dating app Hinge. Over the next several weeks, in the midst of seemingly endless pandemic lockdowns, Natalee and Brian continued to get to know each other. Later that June, they made the mutual decision to meet in person for their first date. And they haven’t looked back.

Fast forward to February 17, 2024, when Brian convinced Natalee to celebrate a belated Valentine’s Day with dinner at one of their favourite restaurants. But dinner would have to wait. Brian asked Natalee to meet him at the Paradise Theatre where, in the glow of candlelight and with a special feature starring Brian himself playing on the screen, Natalee agreed to be his costar for life.

“Honestly, life is just better with Brian in it,”
Natalee confided to us. “He’s my best friend and favourite person to do everything with. I’m excited to watch each other grow old, to go on countless trips together, to share incredible meals together, and be by each other’s sides through every evolution in life. I’m just happy to do life with Brian.”

“I’m most looking forward to our journey together as we continue to get better, wiser, funnier and experience life together,” Brian added. “She complements me in ways that make me a better person, more perceptive, discerning, ambitious, and strong-willed and I like to think I calm her down, show her how to take things easy, enjoy the moment, and find joy in everyday life.”

“I know that whatever highs, lows, joys, and sorrows that life throws our way, I have a partner who will stick with me through it all,” Natalee shared.

We can’t wait to see the sequel to this epic love story.

Marriage is a wild little dance, isn’t it?

Sometimes your partner wants you to hush up, sometimes they want you to talk their ear off. One day it’s all about independence, the next they’re wishing you’d help push them across the finish line. Some moments call for giving space, and others require your undivided attention.

The truth? Marriage is all about balance, and that balance keeps things very interesting. One thing’s for sure… dull moments don’t exist when you’re in it together.

Meet MELISSA and JOE!

They’re getting married next weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

What started as a match on Match.com, led to a wintry walk on a freezing February afternoon, and eventually to a formal dinner date at The Keg.

A relationship blossomed in the spring of 2016 and seven years later, Melissa and Joe made the mutual decision to get married.

But Joe waited for make his formal proposal this past June 8, 2025, because he wanted his bride-to-be to have the most perfect engagement ring.

This weekend, Melissa and Joe will say YES to a future that will build on their friendship and plant the seed of a family of their own.

“We value a strong family, and we would like to have kids of our own,” Joe added. “Ideally, I would like to be like the Ewings from Dallas...minus the intrigue…but definitely with the Ranch and the Lincoln.”

All joking aside, Melissa and Joe are more than ready to write the next chapter of their love story.

“I am looking forward to seeing where Joe and I will end up,” Melissa shared. “He is working so hard to give us the best life possible and has sacrificed so much to give us the life we dream of.”

Meet STANLEY and ADAM!

They’re getting married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

While Stanley and Adam’s initial connection happened online, it was their first in-person meeting in Grange Park a week later that got them walking and talking and getting to know each other better.

Over the last three and a half years, they’ve continued to walk and talk, grow and build play and plan.

“As with many 2SLGBTQ couples, sometimes marriage isn’t for everyone, so we wanted to make sure it was something we both wanted,” Stanley clarified.

And it was, because conversations about marriage led to a mutual decision to get engaged.

“In some ways, without being married, we’re already on a journey together that allows us to pursue our passions both individually and together,” Stanley told us.

This weekend, Stanley and Adam will take the next step on their journey and write the next chapter in their love story.

“I enjoy travelling, but I enjoy it significantly more with Stanley,” Adam added. “I enjoy looking at houses & imagining being there in the future, but I enjoy it more when that dream is shared with Stanley. I enjoy going out for good food, but it is way better with Stanley there. Having someone to share in my life is what I’m looking forward to.“

“I am looking forward to calling Adam my husband,” Stanley added, “and for us to consider how we might take the fortunes that we have been granted and to continue to explore ways in which we can be fulfilled.”

Meet JOANNE and NYKYTA!

They’re getting married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

Joanne and Nykyta first met back in 2011 when they were in first year at the University of Waterloo, but neither of them can recall the specifics surrounding their initial meeting.

“I likely met Joanne at some residence event through my high school friends,”Nykyta shared. “We went for a walk together around the grounds, but the rest of the night is hazy.”

Things quickly came into focus after graduation when their casual hangouts evolved into a friendship and, ultimately into something a little more serious. By 2018, they were officially a couple and began contemplating their future. Nykyta knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Joanne by his side.

On January 14, 2023, the music was cued, the candles were lit, the rose petals were scattered, the photographer was positioned, and the engagement ring was ready.

“Nykyta walked me into the middle of our home, held my hand, and gave his speech before popping the question and presenting the ring,” Joanne recalls. “I still could not believe it, but of course I said YES.”

This weekend they will say YES to their very own happily ever after.

“I’m most looking forward to starting a family and raising our kids the way we were raised - with respect, kindness, and treating others right and passing on to them the learnings we’ve gathered along the way,” Nykyta shared.

“Before settling down though, we are looking forward to travelling,” Joanne added. “I am looking forward to having Nykyta as my partner for life because he is someone who understands me, experienced a similar upbringing, and shares the same values and will laugh at the same jokes…including mine.”
