Broke personal record yesterday - hike my tallest peak at 4800m

Not going to lie - definitely top 3 most scared I’ve ever been in my life….Climbing a rock face with no climbing experience at a very high altitude, although this peak might be ezpz to real mountaineers, I definitely faced my biggest hiking challenge. I couldn’t document all of the scary parts because my main focus was to uhh.. not die you know? Sometimes clout ain’t worth it

Have to keep reminding myself “god placed the best things in life on the other side of fear”.

There were several moments I wanted to turn back, kept trying to convince myself I couldn’t do it - but enough with that bull s**t. Dive into the crazy, learn who you really are and enjoy what life has to offer. As a result I got to see such amazing views ( although mostly In the clouds )

The LAST HIKE OF THE SEASON! J.O.A presents Mont Chauve as our last hike of the 2022 season. Mont Chauve is a mountain/trail located in the Mont Orford region in Quebec! This hike will present some amazing trails that are very well kept, one stellar view point at the top where we will hangout, play around and enjoy the amazing fall colours. The view point will look out to some lake surrounding the area and killer rock faces. This hike will be so worth it and Im really happy I left this one for last. See you then!

Mont Grand Corbeau, a hike located in Forêt Ouareau in the metawinie region!

This park is hands down the muddiest park I’ve been to in my 5 years of exploring Quebec 😂 but in return provides amazing views, low popularity and deep lush forests. This hike is perfect for a one day trip as it’s super close to Montreal and small enough where you can explore most of the park!

AYEEEE WE DID IT!!! 1K followers!!!! This was one of our goals before the season ended and we are sooooo pumped!

1K may not be a lot relative to other instagram accounts but we don’t care. This is absolutely huge for us! this means 1000+ of you wanted to support this page and I can’t even get started on how much that means to me! I can’t believe this account was able to get such a reach in a small time🤩🤩🤩🤩

#1 - My friend and I decided to go for a weekend hike at Mont St-Hillaire. I was amazed by the tunnel of trees towering above us providing the perfect shade. It was serene and sunny, with an amazing view at the top – one of my favourite hikes of the summer!

#2 - When I see this photo it reminds me the simple things in life are the most beautiful

#3 - Went on a big hike with my wife in Canmore for our 1 year anniversary , got to enjoy a nice view with beers and sandwiches. Couldn’t ask for anything better!

#4 -Great photo of a friend which has a great memory attached to it!

#5 - Captured by the breathtakingly beautiful Canadian waterfalls on my first solo travel trip. The carefree hakuna matata state of mind didn't last long unfortunately (cause guess who left her passport and wallet in her hostel in Quebec afterwards).

#6 -I found this guy at the beach thought it was funny, grind never stops

#7 - Since my childhood, I had severe fear of heights. However, on that day, I jumped off a plane at 13000 feet, experienced the breathtaking bird's view and landed with a smile. Considering my past fear, I'm really proud of myself and that day will always remain close to my heart.

#8 .aussie -This photo was from the day I hiked the Beehives and Devils Thumb at Lake Louise. The people in the photo I met at my hostel, and we spent the week hiking together. The weather was glorious, the people were great, and the trails were beautiful. Best day of the summer!

#9 .aravind._athi this is my first summer & had a great experience. I visited Owls Head summit, Gaspesie, Toronto & Niagara. Of which I captured too many pictures & uploaded my favourite found in my Gallery. Just captured after a sunrise😍

Mont Ham was a treat!!! They even have ice cream at the base ( look at last pic) the overall hike was very doable but also provided us with a nice challenge by the end 😎

MONT GRAND CORBEAU!!! I found this hike earlier this summer but decided to leave it later in the fall! I really wanted to find a spot where we can enjoy the fall colours and have the entire park to ourselves muahahah. JOA TAKES OVER AGAIN!!!!!!

This hike is located in Foret Ouareau ( I still cannot pronounce this parks name ) in the Matawinie region! So far, this region is personally my favourite, it offers some of the cleanest parks, views and it is never really crowded! This hike is absolutely different from the previous time at this park, we will tackle MORE VIEW POINTS AND GO EVEN HIGHER!!!!!!!!! This hike is semi challenging, but very doable. Once we reach the peak, we will see Quebecs amazing fall colours and enjoy the incredible views. Along the trail, we will experience Foret Ouareau lush deep forest while watching the leafs change colours along the trail. Let me say one last thing... THIS IS A MUST! DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone had an amazing summer! We at J.O.A personally had a blast - we want to hear about how your summer went! These past couple years have been really weird - but hey! Here we are and here we are making memories once again. We at J.O.A would love to share your BEST summer memory. We will be hosting a Photo contest and share the top 9 submissions on our social media platforms! Down below has all the information you may need to enter this contest!!!!

⭐️The Contest
Enter your favourite memory from the Summer! This can be anything from a nice picture out with your friends to a nice outdoorsy spot you visited! Provide us a max 50 words description of your memory explaining why this photograph is so special to you!

After the deadline, the J.O.A team will pick 9 of our favourite submissions!! We are not professional photographers - but hey - we can enjoy a nice picture when we see it. We will announce the top 9 on our Instagram account . The submission with the most votes from the public will win!! Sound easy yeah?

Mont Ham - if you're an outdoor enthusiast from Quebec, you must know this place. But if you are not from here - you may of never heard about it!! Mont Ham is a mountain in the southern Notre Dame Mountains, in the municipality of Ham-Sud, in the Les Sources Regional County Municipality.

Mont-Ham Regional Park is a destination known for its hiking trails and the spectacular view from its summit: a 360-degree panorama of forest and agricultural landscapes. Mount Ham Regional Park is also a place where we cultivate precious links with our Aboriginal roots. In partnership with the Grand Council of the Waban-Aki Nation, various activities have been developed to promote and share ancestral knowledge: interpretation panels along the Legends Trail and Abenaki space! ANNND GUESS WHAT - WE GONNA EXPLORE THIS AREA!

First time was too damn good, we gotta go again. This time, we are more prepared. We have decided to add an additional 1hour and 30 minutes to this trip! We found that last time we were definitely rushing and no one likes that. Tremblant is an amazing area! It has so so many fun activities around, an amazing hike, a gondola, restaurants and shops!!! A perfect little area to relax, get out of the city and experience something new!

We at JOA will obviously be doing the hike!!!! The hike is challenging, I will be honest. Even I was tired last time. BUT, no problem, if you still would like to enjoy the view you can pay for the gondola and meet us up at the top :D. The hike is about a 7.5/10 on our difficulty rating. It is doable but seriously steep. Since we have that extra time you can really take your time up the mountain and enjoy the terrain.

Hello again!!!

Due to some logistical complications… We had to cancel the original trip planned for august 6th ( Hike Corniche et La Roche )

But instead, we are replacing that trip with an even better one😎 hike Tremblant part twooo babbyyyy. This goes out to all of the homies who couldn’t score a ticket in time. HERE IS YOUR SECOND CHANCE!!!!!

I’m so pumped for this one. Owls head is a ski hill, golf course and a stellar hike in the summer/fall time! This hike is hard, quite similar to Tremblant. As we are legitimately scaling a ski hill…. You can imagine how challenging it is. I’m a stronger believer that the harder the hike… the better the view is 🤠 at the top we are going to be SPOILED with a 360 view point and it’ll be so so worth it. Nothing in life is supposed to be easy. Come challenge yourself and dive into the crazy with us!
