Quel est votre meilleur souvenir de votre primaire? Votre professeur de 4e année? Une amitié qui dure depuis? Votre cour d'école?
Pour moi, ce sont toutes ces choses et bien plus encore! Voilà pourquoi je me suis empressée d'offrir gracieusement mes services à mon ancienne école primaire pour leur levée de fonds annuelle, le Festa Alpha, de l'école Alpha de Rosemère. Encan, tirages - dont un certificat cadeau de Mlle Raspberry - et plaisirs, ce fût une autre édition réussie!
Le meilleur dans tout ça? De voir les réactions des enfants tout au long de l'installation! On entendait des OH! et des AH! admiratifs et plusieurs d'entre eux sont venus nous poser des questions. C'était franchement super d'échanger avec cette génération inspirante!

What is your fondest memory from your elementary school? Your 4th grade teacher? A friendship that has lasted since? Your schoolyard? For me, it's all of those things and more! That's why I was so excited to give back to my former elementary school for their annual fundraiser, the Festa Alpha, at Ecole Alpha in Rosemere. An auction, raffles - including a gift certificate from Mlle Raspberry - and live entertainment - it was definitely another successful edition! Best of all? Seeing the kids' reactions throughout the installation! We heard OH! and AH! of the admiring crowd, and several of them even came to ask us questions. It was great to exchange with this inspiring generation!

Over the years, I've made hundreds of balloons in all shapes, sizes, and colors. From simple to complex, I love bringing my clients' ideas to life and bring joy and smiles to kids of all ages! The icing on the cake is when a client takes the time to send me some pictures, and I get to see it all come to life! It truly means the world to me! Every now and then, I come across misinformation spread online about balloon decor.

Latex balloons are not plastic. They are a plant-based product made from natural rubber harvested from rubber tree plantations which are a renewable resource. We only source our balloons from the manufacturers that guarantee their products are 100% biodegradable latex. As well, all the metallic balloons that we use are also recyclable.

We encourage our customers to reuse their balloons by passing them on to another family for an upcoming celebration. Because of the quality of the balloons we use, they can stay inflated for a few weeks and still look as good if they are kept in a cool space away from direct sunlight.

De temps en temps, je tombe sur des informations erronées diffusées en ligne sur l'utilisation des ballons comme décoration lors de fêtes.

Les ballons en latex ne sont pas fait de plastique. Il s'agit d'un produit végétal fabriqué à partir de caoutchouc naturel récolté dans des plantations d'hévéas qui eux sont une ressource renouvelable.

Nous achetons nos ballons uniquement auprès des fabricants qui garantissent que leurs produits sont en latex 100 % biodégradable. De plus, tous les ballons métalliques que nous utilisons sont également recyclables.

Nous encourageons également nos clients à réutiliser leurs ballons en les donnant à une autre famille qui en aurait besoin pour une célébration à venir. En raison de la qualité des ballons que nous utilisons, ceux-ci peuvent rester gonflés pendant quelques semaines et rester tout aussi beaux s'ils sont conservés dans un espace frais à l'abri de la lumière directe du soleil.

J'ai eu l'honneur de décorer Le Verre Bouteille, une institution montréalaise ouverte depuis 1942, pour le lancement du dernier EP de Lisbonne Télégramme intitulé Désir.
Les ballons étaient au rendez-vous pour célébrer du même coup leur 10e anniversaire!
Une excellent spectacle! Une soirée magique dont je vais me souvenir longtemps!

Boho-chic for a beautiful bridal shower 🤍

A lot of work went into preparing these balloons for today's installation. As I had explained in a previous post, a matte balloon is just a regular latex balloon who started to oxidize by being in contact with sun and heat. The technical term for it is baking your balloons and just like cake, you have to set a timer to make sure you don't over bake them!!

Un thème boho-chic pour cette future mariée 🤍

Il y a eu beaucoup de travail en amont de cette installation. Comme je l'avais mentionné précédemment, les ballons mats sont simplement des ballons qui ont commencé le processus d'oxydation suite à un contact avec le soleil et la chaleur. Cette technique s'appelle la cuisson des ballons et tout comme pour un gâteau, une minuterie est de mise pour éviter la surcuisson!!
