Based out of Montreal, the award winning Laografiko Ergastiri Montreal (LEM) Dimitris Tzotzis offers traditional Greek dance lessons for children, teenagers and adults. LEM holds various cultural events at different venues ranging from small performances and workshops at Greek festivals to full-scale productions at the renowned Place des Arts theatre. Over 450 students are currently participating

in dance classes in Montreal, Laval, Roxboro and the South Shore. The main performing groups are “Trantellines”, “Pegasus”, “Orpheas” and “Terpsichore”. DIVISION II GOLD - Orpheus

Yesterday, our dance family was honoured to participate in this year’s Greek Independence Day celebrations as part of the HCGM’s Cultural Institute. We proudly marched in the parade, showcased our rich Greek heritage, and wrapped up the day with a performance by Orpheas at the annual reception. 💃

A heartfelt thank you to and to the Secretary of Cultural Affairs, Michael Patsatzis, for inviting us to be part of such a memorable day!

This week, Orpheas wrapped up their final practice of the year with a festive Christmas supper🎄🎁❤️ Thank you to Casa Grecque Boucherville for hosting us!

With that, we’re officially on holiday break until the new year! Practices will resume the week of January 5th, 2025. Don’t forget that January 12, 2025 is the last chance to buy your tickets to our Winter Dance! ❄️

Last week, our campuses and groups got together for an engaging seminar with Prof. Ioannis Dimas. We had the opportunity to expand our knowledge, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insights. It was a memorable experience that brought our dancers closer together. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event possible!

Join the LEM at our Annual Winter Dance on Saturday, Jan 25th, 2025 — where all our campuses will be performing!
Once again, we are delighted to announce that we will have live music by Montreal’s own , who will surely keep the dance floor going all night 💃

🎟️ Ticket sales for our winter dance have gone on sale virtually! Be sure to reserve your spots ASAP, as tickets tend to sell out quickly every year!

Concerning ticket purchases:

❄️Tickets cost 85$ for adults and 30$ for kids.
❄️ If you are a parent or dancer at any campus/dance group, the forms to reserve & buy tickets have been sent to you via email (will be posted in the FB group for Orpheas).
❄️ Please note that tickets are first come, first served. Make sure to reserve your spots sooner rather than later!
❄️ Tickets will be sold until January 12th, 2025.
❄️ If you are not affiliated to any campus or group, you can DM us for more information on how to buy tickets! 🎟️

As we get ready for the start of a new school year with the LEM, we’re so happy to share that this year marks the return of our Paidiko Festival - back for the first time since 2019! 🙌🏼

This charity event (all proceeds going to charity) is an opportunity for the young dancers of Greater Montreal Area dance groups and cultural organizations to showcase their talent and all the hard work they put in, year after year! Emails to various cultural and dance organizations were sent out this summer, so if you are an instructor or an organization that would like to perform, please send us a message! 📧
