Doors open at 7:00 with singing starting at 7:30
Tickets are $15, which you can purchase on their website (www.prairiesoundscape.ca) or at the door!

Pub Choir in a nutshell is an event where we get together to learn a song, while enjoying some snacks and beverages, as well as each other’s company!

This is open to adults 18+ as there will be liquor served, beyond this, everyone is invited, you do not need to have sung with us before - we welcome you to be part of the community! Tag your singing buddies in the comments, the more the merrier!

But we are SO excited to announce that we have officially received our LCGA liquor license, and our BAR IS OPEN!

A Finer Spirit Festival staple, is back for another great show. We can’t wait to have them on stage for the 3rd year!

AUE is a folk-rock band from Manitoba, Canada. The band started as the personal project of lead singer John Wiebe after returning home from a season living in Australia. Not desiring the project to be a solo-act, John showed some of the songs he had written to a cousin of his, Dylan Wiebe (lead guitar). The two performed the songs together at a church coffeehouse and have been playing ever since.
Not long after two more members, Evan St Cyr (Producer and sometimes bass) and Brendan Elias (drums) joined the group. With the addition of these 3 the sound of AUE was born. Inspired by artists such as Bon Iver, The National, Novo Amor, and others their music has been labelled easy-listening, atmospheric, and moving.

We are so lucky to have joining us for FSF!

Madeleine Roger (she/her) is a singer-songwriter from Winnipeg, Canada. While skillfully accompanying herself on acoustic guitar, it is her artistry as a songwriter that can silence a room, uniting her lyrical prowess with breathtaking melodies that linger long after they are sung.
Her newest collection of songs is a deeply personal body of work examining every nook and cranny of love and loss. It is unflinchingly honest, and is the result of three years of soul-digging, experimentation, and fine-tuning - Madeleine has poured over every word. Nerve, the album created in the process (out August 2024) is her sophomore release, and it touches the exposed nerve left over from a breakup with a long-term lover and musical collaborator, the death of a soul-friend, the secret of an unrequited love, months of caring for a dying grandparent, and finding a curious peace in spite of it. It was produced by Josh Kaufman (Anaïs Mitchell, Bob Weir, Bonny Light Horseman) and recorded in four days in Kingston NY by engineer D. James Goodwin (The National, Fruit Bats, The Hold Steady).
She has toured extensively across Canada, Europe, and the UK sharing her music live at the Winnipeg Folk Festival, Shetland Island Folk Festival, Vancouver Island Music Festival, Stan Rogers Folk Festival, Summerfolk Festival of Arts and Crafts, among others. She is also a regular collaborator with JUNO award winning string quartet The Fretless, appearing with them in performances and on recordings as a vocalist and co-writer. English Songwriter of the Year nominee (2020 Canadian Folk Music Awards) Producer of the Year nominee (2019 Western Canadian Music Awards)

We are counting down the days until Finer Spirit Fest (17 if you were wondering) and we’re getting excited! 🐎

Introducing , one of the incredibly talented artists in the lineup. Here’s a little about Paul!

Paul Bergman (1983-) was born in a half-hour, and has done little since with even approximately that much haste. He used to think cottonwood seeds were bits of cloud. Unless they’re speaking astronomically, he finds it odd when people say, It’s a small world. He loves the moon, and much prefers odd numbers. Water is his favourite drink, and he has a folder labelled ‘temporary’ and he’s not sure why he doesn’t just store everything in there. He’s released five records, and ‘I just want to walk in the dark with you’, the single released by Birthday Cake, is the torchbearer of an upcoming collection of songs.
