I would like to take this opportunity, to wish each and every one of you a Happy New Year. 2025 is a brand New Year full of hopes and dreams. We can’t change the past we can’t change the future but we can change what we do today.

New beginnings are exciting, a wee bit frightening but with your sweetheart by your side you can face anything together. Remember this person would part the ocean to be near you; doesn’t that sound romantic? Buying a home, having a baby, getting engaged, it’s all very exciting.

Tomorrow will always come no matter what so except it with open arms.

Happy New Years to all of you and remember who you kiss at midnight is who you will spend 2025 with.. my sweetheart will be sound asleep I will be prepping for my dinner that I am having tomorrow. 🧐 I shall wake him.

Someday, you are going to meet someone who will change everything you ever thought about love; they will make you question it; make you doubt it;but most of all they will make you feel it, in every inch of your being.

You will think you have been in love before until this one person changes everything.

Saying I love you is one thing; living “I love you is a whole other story”.

When you find this kind of love don’t take it for granted for this is the kind of love most people long for; they look at and wish they had this and you may have it right now..

Think of Clare and Charles 60 years together, Eva and Roland 50 years plus, Linda and Larry, they have this kind of love, Joy and David, Amanda and Micheal, Amanda and Gord, Sylvia and Eric, Brenda and Bruce, Trenna and Tamas. The names are endless..

Thought for today:

I spoke with a gentleman yesterday who is coming up to is 60th wedding anniversary. He refers to his wife as his sweetheart. He said my Clare is a good gal. He said people loose the meaning of what’s important, your partner, they should be the most important person in your life. Your children will grow up and leave the nest and you will rely on your partner. Empty nest syndrome is tough. Boy don’t I know that one.. I still think I suffer from it.. lol both my daughters are married and I think how happy they are and I think how fast it went from baby to grown women, wives and mothers..

Also, he said establish roots, he equated this as a person; always transplanting a tree it will eventually die because the roots have never been established. I liked this. Make memories lots of them because in later years that’s all you will have. Take pictures lots of them. He said if you look at grandparents they have pictures because they go down memory lane and reflect of time that has past.

I wished him and Clare a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2025. He looked at my sweetheart and said you have a good man there; I said I know Thank you, for the reminder though..

Happy 60th Clare and Charles and it indeed was a pleasure meeting you both.

As he put so eloquently I never gave up on her and she never gave up on me. Loving her was the easiest thing I have ever done in my life; she’s a good gal.. she just smiled at him and squeezed his hand.

Now this is a good question.

Did you fall in love or was it something that happened over time?

Falling in love is like balancing precariously on a ledge and you see that one person who changes everything in an instant and you take that leap. That’s falling in love, love at first sight..

Or

The love that starts off slowly, it happened over time like a well read book you couldn’t wait for the ending. You both drifted unsure of your feelings but it took time like somethings’ do.. then you realized the love of your life has been there right in front of you.

So which one are you?? For me I am the first, I seen my sweetheart and knew straight away he was my happy ever after.

“I love you, I never needed a reason to, or to explain to anyone why I do; I just do, I love you, simply, your existence is enough. I love you”.

Thought for today:

I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. I've learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life. I've learned that
making a "living" is not the same thing as making a "life." I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance. I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands;
you need to be able to throw something back. I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision. I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one. I've learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back. I've learned that I still have a lot to learn. I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people
will never forget how you made them feel. This is so true..

My grandmother would always say it’s a good day when you learn something. Trust me I am still learning.

My sweetheart untangles the lights very patiently, I myself shake them half to death?? 🧐 hoping they will untangle themselves. They don’t lol.

Hold a door for a stranger, smile I am always thinking when I smile at someone they are looking at me thinking is that old woman hitting on me.. now that’s funny. I usually get a nod, I nod then they nod, then I nod again. lol or it’s that thing kids do where it’s not really a nod but kind of a raising of a chin and a nod combined. 😰 trying to be cool it’s a lot of work.. lol

Thought for today:

Tenacity is a word that really shouldn’t be used in a marriage or a relationship. The unwillingness to give up”.

To me that only means one person is doing all the work.

Commitment, however is a totally different word and meaning. Being dedicated to the cause.

Communication so important. But actually listening. You know when you’re talking to your sweetheart and then you stop and say what do you think, and they reply that sounds great for dinner.. 🧐 I just told you I am running off to Hawaii with a chap I met at Pilates not true lol knowing you were not listening to anything I was saying. First, I don’t take Pilates thinking about it though. lol second my sweetheart is engrossed in a movie and isn’t listening to anything I am saying. If it’s a hunting, football or a movie, don’t talk to them, huh 🤔 but if they need something look out where we’re you?? I was doing laundry, cooking cleaning you know the usual. lol

I think the most important thing in a relationship is communication well you see how I am fairing lol.

All kidding aside don’t let things build up talk to each other not your friends, not your family each other. They can listen. It’s a little give and take.

Now where is my Pilates mat, kidding..

I am doing a wedding New Years Eve how exciting is that? Starting the New Year as Mr and Mrs. I can’t think of a better way to bring in 2025, well winning the lottery but that’s my dream.. lol

I think this picture explains it all.. you see couples together for 25, 30, 50 even as much as 75 years and I have asked what does it take to stay together for so long? Most will say; admit when your wrong, never say something you will regret, never go to bed mad, say I love you and mean it, do nice things, and do not run down your partner because when your running down your partner your running down yourself. You fell in love with this person for a reason find that love. Do something spontaneous, have fun, laugh and most importantly respect, trust and dance and enjoy each other.. my sweetheart and I have been together coming up to 37 years I adore him, does he drive me crazy only ever other day..

Thought for today:

I tell myself I am searching for something.

But more and more I am wandering, waiting for something to happen to me; something that will change everything for me.

Something that my whole life has been leading up to and there it was it has been there in front of me and I had been ignoring it. I had built these walls around me and afraid to allow them to come down; I was lost. I was in search of something that I didn’t realize I needed more than anything it was “you”.

You said to me something that was so profound to me and I felt for the first time I could stop and be myself. You said I am here and I am not going anywhere not today, not tomorrow, not ever, so stop running.. open your heart and allow me to love you the way you were meant to be loved.

I believe love is there for all of us; if we just believe and open up our hearts.

I know I am a romantic and I see love in the eyes of so many couples and those who wish they could find their happy ever after. Trust me, you have to kiss a few toads to find your prince.lol well hopefully not that many we don’t want to end up with warts lol. Do toads give you warts or frogs 🧐

Well you catch my drift.

Thought for today:

Well as of today’s date I have no more weddings booked I performed my last wedding October 12th.

I will have one or two pop up that have destination weddings booked. Which everyone loves to go somewhere warm, sand between your toes, hearing the waves in the background, margarita in hand. Watching two people whom you adore say “I do”.

What an amazing year, once again I met some of the most wonderful couples, parents, and those in the wedding party.. Even a few guests too, I can’t say enough about the photographers’ wonderful people to work with too..

So we will see what 2025 brings.. I am so looking forward to next wedding season.

Thank you, for allowing be to be part of such an important day in your lives.

This is a shout out if you are looking for a great videographer for your ceremony. I usually do not do this but I just performed a wedding and he was amazing to work with, very professional and personable. Great fellow. Even funny, not as funny as I but a little funny.

First, I would like to wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving. If you are having your first Thanksgiving, as husband and wife start a tradition.
If you are inviting the in-laws over do not worry they once stood in your shoes..

My first Thanksgiving my sister and I thought we would make pirogies and pumpkin pie, never having done this trust me an utter disaster or epic fail, as my granddaughter states. Our pirogies looked like egg rolls, yes they were that large, our pumpkin pie, well we opened the can and dumped it into our pie crust, didn’t know we needed to add eggs, cream spices, sugar etc. On a positive note our pie crust was homemade lol. Were we judged you bet. Did we care? You bet..

My husband said, they have a good taste but why are they so big, I replied ; you only have to take two instead of eight.. lol

They took one bite of the pie and said it’s missing something we are like no it’s not.. they said it taste like straight pumpkin, we said it’s pumpkin pie.. lol

Trust me we are not the same cooks/baker as we were back then..

All trial and error lol

So from my home to yours Happy Thanksgiving and yes I will be serving pirogies and pumpkin pie.. lol

Now I have to go and get ready for my wedding..

One ceremony left, Nate and Kira’s Thanksgiving weekend. This has been such a wonderful year. Such amazing couples, but I always have amazing couples. They allow me to tell their love stories and they are beautiful.

In the beginning some are reluctant to share how they met, lol Tinder etc., who am I to judge. Some say please don’t tell our parents 🧐 okay.. I laugh parents are a lot smarter than you give them credit.

I always have so much fun. So I am ready for next year..

Tears, laughter and amazing wedding vows, great bridal parties, beautiful brides, handsome grooms and wonderful parents; I couldn’t ask for anything more.. let’s not forget our junior bridesmaids or flower girls and what about those ring bearers.. adorable.
