Cinnamon Salt Dough ornaments and dried orange slices have made a tradition for our tree.
The creativity with the dough is endless and I love the way the house smells

Recipe as follows ⬇️
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
3/4 cup cinnamon
3/4 cup water

Combine into dough. Roll out into shapes, trace little hands, cut with cookie cutters. Don’t forget a little hole for hanging!
If you have a dehydrator, dry for 12 hours until firm. Or in the oven at 200 degrees for 2-3 hours.

Paint and decorate with acrylic paints. 🎄

It’s that time of year again!

I’ve been busy getting into the holiday spirit and would love to see you this Sunday at the Little Extras Holiday Market in Novar

I will have all the holiday favourites ready to stock your freezer, or give as gifts, or eat on the car ride home

I will also be serving some espresso drinks with my homemade pumpkin spice or peppermint mocha steamed milk.

This chilly morning calls for something warm! Back by popular demand, the soups are on!

Offering a selection of homemade soups with summer garden vegetables, and teaming up with for some amazing artisan bread.

2 Litres of soup and bread of your choice, $32. This will feed a family of 4-5 generously.

Roasted Spiced Pumpkin: with Butternut Squash, Pumpkin, and Warming Spices. Loved by children and adults alike.

Broccoli Cheddar: Broccoli from our garden & aged cheddar. Need a day more?

Chili Con Carne: Spicing things up a bit with slow roasted tender beef, chipotle, cumin, coriander, cinnamon and a bit of cocoa in a rich beef stock. (Smokey, not Spicy)

Sharing our favourite way to decorate Easter eggs!
A few drops of food colouring in a zip lock baggie of rice. Roll each egg in the closed bag for a really soft and speckled look. This is a great sensory activity for young kiddos, and my favourite- its tidy. 😅
Don’t waste the rice! Dry it in the oven for a short while then use it for decorating the bottom of the basket 🪺

Have a friend that’s having a baby? New mamas have been delighted when I’ve gifted them with something to keep them nourished and easy to eat during those midnight feedings or early mornings or tired afternoons or, well anytime with a newborn. 🤱

These new mama bars are lactation friendly, refined sugar free, nut & dairy free and can be kept in the fridge for several weeks - but I can tell you they don’t last that long.
