It has just been brought to our attention that there are couples who have weddings scheduled in Port Alberni or Tofino etc but - with the highway closures - are now looking for back up alternatives. We here at the Blue Heron do have availability over the next weeks as we only recently reopened after being closed during Covid. We will do everything we can to help couples still have the wedding of their dreams even if it is a last minute change in venue.

Our hearts and prayers go out to all of the communities and businesses who are suffering due to the wildfires. 💞

Thanks to our wonderful groundskeeper‘s the estate is coming back to the condition it was in pre-Covid in preparation for next years wedding season!  This beautiful fall weather certainly makes September a popular wedding month!

We are starting to get couples booking for 2021! It warms my heart to know that there is confidence that next year we will be back to celebrating love without social distancing. Still, since the wedding grounds are so large, we can guarantee enough space here at the estate to accommodate even distanced weddings. Intimate or grand - its all about you! When the 2020 season of weddings was postponed due to the pandemic, we couldn't bring on our usual team of groundskeepers and gardeners but they will all be back in full force next spring to get the grounds in top shape for our couples and their special day! It breaks my heart to speak to couples who had planned their forever together wedding day and now have had to cancel due to the social distancing measures needed to keep their loved ones safe and healthy. I always say the same thing - the wedding day is only one moment in the lifetime of your love. It can be carried out when it is safe so that everyone can relax and enjoy celebrating without added worry. No matter what you decide - to postpone, go smaller or have a small ceremony now and your dream wedding later - do it your way because the one thing that is constant, even as all plans may change, is the love that brought you together 💞
