Featuring live performances by DJ ALL GOOD and Reconcilation Theatre on our newly constructed outdoor stage, as well as farm animals and chalk drawings for kids.

Coastal Community Credit Union has reached out to Reconciliation Theatre. Their $500 grant from their Community Investment Fund is a game changer for us.
Whether it's two nights rent on the venue, or the performance royalties for the entire run, the impact of community support can't be overstated.

Our Bi-weekly Reconciliation Playreading Circle reconvenes this Tuesday July 20th at 7pm, on the traditional territory of the S'nuneymuxw people at the South Wellington Art Farm, 2022 Minto Ave,

This week's featured playwright is Yvette Nolan. "Annie Mae's Movement" is the story of one indigenous woman's activism in A.I.M. the American Indian Movement.

Everyone is welcome.
Come dressed for an evening in the forest.

Thanks so much to Donna Flett Ward Norcutt Michelle Tansey Sean Gallagher Daniel Puglas Damon Mitchell Jesse Wilson Lisa Danielle and Patricia for spirited reading and good company in the Reconciliation Playreading Circle on Tuesday.

Ecstacy of Rita Joe is a classic of the Canadian theatre cannon. However, Tuesday's reading was with fresh ears.

I wanted to use our platform here to share thoughts that might have come into your minds after the darkness and bugs were far behind you. I have had some great one on one's, thought I would to include others.

Putting the green in greenhouse...
Tomato seedlings have to grow up and move out eventually.
10 degrees above is their nightime low threshold... it was 11 last night in the valley.

71 beauties...4 varieties
Early, main, sauce and cherry.

I will plant best 10 of each.
Will entertain interesting trades....😉

Goat update....

This wonderful family of three has quickly become a part of our family.

Cariboo is mom to her daughter Frida and adopted mom to forever boy Ho Chi. She us a great mom and the kids are gaining weight and confidence with guidance. I couldn't do it without her.
..and she runs the best landscaping crew in South Wellington.

We got new windows in our house over Christmas.

That's all fine and well, but the really exciting part is the greenhouse I get to build, upcycling the old windows.

We have a great southern exposure and I look forward to extending our growing season even further.

This last snow and thaw allowed me to fire up the maple syrup boil.
I run 4 taps with milk jugs...real hobby-joe special, but I'm learning.
This weekends boil of about 8 gallons of maplewater yielded me my first full bottle.

Don't let the label fool ya...Island Big Leaf maple syrup to the rim.
