There’s a new girl in town, and I predict she’s gunna be a huge hit over the next few years. Dusty+muddy tone in the best terracotta rose tone and blows out huge! She’s gorgeous!

Grew some yarrow this year and I’m gunna add every colour I can find to my garden for next summer. It is a hardy perennial and the more you cut it, the more you get! Easy colour and texture with a long vase life, what’s there not to love?

Happy 9 to my sweet love 🥰

The best helper a girly could ask for. He’s worked so hard to lift me up and support me during a very busy and challenging year. Early wake up calls, building installation/arbour pieces, being my mechanics guy, driving everywhere then also still loving me while watching me barf from getting car sick on the side of the road 😅, triple checking my lists to make sure I didn’t forget something important, and most importantly being that force of calm when I’m overwhelmed (constantly these days it seems) and being my sounding board when I just need to talk it all out. He’s truly my partner in life and I’m so appreciative that I am married to the most selfless person who just wants to see me happy + healthy.

I don’t generally like to get too personal online since I think most sentiments are better expressed in person, in a card, etc. But I thought deserved some hype ☺️ If you are/were a client of ours then guaranteed this guy had a major hand in making your special day beautiful. And just know I could never do what I do without him or his support. He’s the superstar of this business ✨

Just over half way through my season & I’m feeling all sentimental tonight 🥹
You need to know that giving me your trust when it comes to my art for one of the most special days of your life isn’t lost on me.

Part of what I LOVE about floral design is not knowing how things are going to turn out. It’s a rush buying from my locally grown market on Monday, days before your event and not knowing what surprises await me. With each arrangement, bouquet, arbour, I get to experience the amazing flow of creating and (something I love to say) letting the flowers tell me what they want to do and where they want to be. The more you work in this field the more you get to enjoy not forcing a colour or shape that doesn’t work for whatever reason, you just let the flowers speak.

I enter into this flow the most with bridal bouquets since I pick the best items from my entire order and give myself lots of time to float around in the sea of design without any pressure. It’s a glorious feeling, and I feel so proud to say so since I’ve always been so unbelievably critical of my work up until a couple of years ago.

It’s so thrilling to get to take all these little pieces of your love story and tell it all in flowers, my favourite language. These details give your floral pieces direction and intent; equally as meaningful as they are beautiful.

I can’t wait to share more from K + C’s Tofino wedding since it was chalk full of thoughtful elements that just made sense for them and the surrounding environment of their venue. We combined the romantic garden-style with a touch of cool-girl modern (the bride looks oh-so chic in a bucket hat, need I say more? *jealous*) by limiting the greenery and keeping almost every ingredient mono-chromatic while other ingredients gave a nod to the sea.

Garden roses - fleeting, but their cabbage-like beauty makes it all worthwhile.

This variety is named Gorki Park and she is the most stunning and softest shade of pale peach.
