Jan 21st: National Theatre Live presents the multi award-winning production of Noël Coward’s provocative comedy featuring Andrew Scott (Vanya, All of Us Strangers, Fleabag). 

As he prepares to embark on an overseas tour, star actor Garry Essendine’s colourful life is in danger of spiralling out of control. Engulfed by an escalating identity crisis as his many and various relationships compete for his attention, Garry’s few remaining days at home are a chaotic whirlwind of love, s*x, panic and soul-searching.

Season one of Southern Interior, directed by Amy Bohigian ) and produced by Gregory Mackenzie, will premiere at The Capitol Theatre in Nelson, BC on January 10th.

Filmed in Nelson in summer 2024 with a 100% local team – from cast and crew to director, producer, and writers – this six episode series is a love letter to the ongoing social experiment that is Nelson.

“Welcome to a place where back-to-the-land meets wellness culture, where identity politics meet small-town politics, and neither quite knows what to do with the other – but they're figuring it out, one kombucha at a time.”

Seven exceptional female operatives risk their lives to fight a dangerous war of sabotage, propaganda and espionage — breaking with decorum and defying expectations, these women achieve the impossible, helping to bring down the greatest threat of their time, only to go completely unseen. This genre-busting mash-up of historical research, film-noir, graphic novels, and musical theatre is a contemporary portrait of brave women who risked their lives to fight during WWII–only to find themselves betrayed by the very world they believed they were fighting for.
