These are common mistakes I have seen over my 9 years of floral services in the wedding industry.
1. Letting their family and friends have a say in the design. Let’s get one thing straight. This is YOUR wedding and it should reflect who you and your fiancé are as a whole. Don’t let the outside opinions cloud your judgement when it comes down to make design decisions.
2. Don’t go pintrest crazy!
Pinterest will be your best and worst friend. Yes it’s a great tool to use to get a clear and concise idea of what overall design you are looking for. It can also be an addiction where most likely you will find yourself deep in the rabbit-hole of Pinterest pinning a lot of ideas that don’t make sense for your wedding. Which can cause confusion. Also to note that most of the photos of the extravagant tablescape are most likely out of your budget.
3. Don’t copy or follow other people’s designs or trends. Just because you went to your friends wedding and loved the idea of babies breath and roses does not mean you have to follow this design. I’m all for being on trend but there is a time and place to use it in your design. Talk to a professional who will steer you in the right direction of what that design idea is.
4. Choose your date and venue first. This will help give your florist an idea of how to design with the venue space and what regulations they allow with specific installations etc.
5. Trust your designers! Yes you can have input, but leave it to the professionals. We have years of experience, colour palette ideas, floral varieties and design ideas that will be out of this world.

This one was a lot of blood sweat and tears …literally!
I was so happy with the result and it absolutely validates who I am as an artist.
I love when my clients go with my crazy ideas in the design meetings.
Executing this design in real life was a bit of a mental challenge but I persevered.
Florists don’t talk about this enough but you sometimes have to be an engineer, counterbalancing the weight and figuring out the stress areas of a structure you build. It’s wild!
It’s the first day of February and this is your reminder that Galantines/ Valentines is 2 weeks away.

Wear gloves when processing flowers!
🌸 1. Most growers use pesticides now for growing methods and that can sometimes be harmful to our skin.
🌸 2. Some plants and flowers can have diseases that we can’t see on the surface of the plants. This can transfer on to you and create skin irritations, rashes and other type of harmful symptoms.
🌸 3. Some varieties of plants can secrete a milky like poison when stripping leaves like these Tweedia above. 👆

If the barbie movie taught us anything it’s that being a female is hard and to push the patriarchy aside.
That’s why have your ride or die is important to get you through the hard times.
Why not celebrate that love in an evening of flowers, charcuterie and wine with your bestie!
Happy Galentines day!

Opening up a new chapter of my content:
ADHD Florist 🌸🧠
The struggle is real sometimes try to get motivated after a high dopamine filled weekend. Doing the admin side of my business can be challenging. Not to mention the physical exhaustion.
Thanks to some morning routines of meditation, walks with the dogs and taking my meds. I can get motivated to start the day and focus, but it’s not always a linear process.
Excited to share with you my journey through owning a business in a creative field with ADHD.

Your choice of vase is meant to compliment your event theme and personal style⚱️
While in the grand scheme of things it may seem like the vase choice isn’t relevant, it is definitely an important part of your decor.
